Sutton Coldfield (Surrounding Areas) - May/June Girlie Night out

Anyone fancy a night out, for the Sutton & surrounding area's.

I live in Tamworth and Sutton is easy for me to get to.

I can also do Birmingham, Great Barr, Walsall etc

Any takers

Lets have some dates and locations for a nice meal and drink (non alcoholic for me)

The 8th is ok with me

WigWamBam · 11/05/2005 14:08

8th of June looks OK to me, too.

nutcracker · 11/05/2005 14:14

I will have to give it a miss i'm afraid as both dates are too close to my birthday night out.

Will try and make the next one though

Ronniebaby · 11/05/2005 19:37

Is that Wedn 8th, its ok with me, so now any preference as to where we'll go.

Shame you cant come Nutty, maybe we'll get to meet you one day

I don't know anywhere in Sutton, except the pub at the Basset's Pole roundabout with the free soft play attached (forget the name of it), and the Green Man at Middleton, so can't help much with suggestions for venue and will leave it to those of you who actually know the area. Actually I'm happy with anywhere as long as it's:

a. easy to find

b. got something on the menu which is wheat free

c. Not so noisy/busy that conversation is impossible.

Ronniebaby · 13/05/2005 11:39

LS the Bassets Pole pub is called the Bassetts Pole, but they have taken away the indoor soft play area to make more eating area, there is an outdoor play bit, but have to have nice weather. Green Man is easy for me and you, but not so for the peeps in Sutton.

How about we try either La Reserve or TGI's, or the Harvester in Boldmere as Harvester & La Reserve or close to each other.

Any yah or nay's????

OP posts:
WigWamBam · 13/05/2005 11:42

I can do either of those three - if you decide on the Harvester or Wetherspoons in Boldmere it would make it really easy for me as they're within walking distance, but I can get to La Reserve easily enough too.

Ronniebaby · 13/05/2005 18:54

WWB, I'd forgotten you live so close, how very convenient for you

I'll open it up to the floor, I'm happy with any Sutton is only !5 - 20 mins from me anyway.

Oops better put the date in my diary so I dont forget

OP posts:
whimsy · 14/05/2005 09:39

Ronniebaby · 15/05/2005 20:59

It is convenient, isn't it! I don't mind where we go though, I'll just go with the flow too.

motherofboys · 16/05/2005 09:13

Hi everyone - can I come too?

MadameButterfly · 16/05/2005 10:31

I should be ok, just need to check with the inlaws that they can come over until dp gets home.

whimsy · 16/05/2005 17:13

Of course you can motherofboys

motherofboys · 16/05/2005 21:08

Its on the calendar - look forward to meeting you all

whimsy · 17/05/2005 14:41

Right then so the following are coming
Lunarsea
Ronniebaby
motherofboys
WWB
Whimsy
MBfly
Sallyc (what about you?)

So it's the 8th June. Any idea about time
As no one has made a prefrence is the Harvester in Boldmere ok?

WigWamBam · 17/05/2005 14:43

As long as it's got a vegetarian option for me, and lots of wheat-free choices for Lunarsea, then anywhere will do me.

whimsy · 17/05/2005 14:45

I need a vegetarian option too, I know the harvester have a couple of options

WigWamBam · 17/05/2005 14:50

I haven't been for ages, I don't know what the choice of food is like there these days. I'm a sad old thing with no social life so don't get out much!

sallycinnamon · 17/05/2005 20:48

We went a while ago and its got a huge menu. Count me in (if you'll have me!) I'm a bit scared am a meet up virgin! WWBam where are you in Boldmere? I'm next to Tescos.

WigWamBam · 17/05/2005 20:56

Sally, I'm near Wylde Green station, off the Boldmere Road!

Ronniebaby · 17/05/2005 21:00

SallyC, you will be very welcome, I think I am the only one that knows all the attendees (except you). So you will really be in the same boat as the others.

Ouch that makes me sounds big headed, I didnt mean it to sound like that.

Right we have 6 people, shall I book at table????

OP posts:
Ronniebaby · 17/05/2005 21:02

Just rang we dont need to book, just come along and they'll get us a table and as its mid week it shouldnt be a prob

OP posts:
WigWamBam · 17/05/2005 21:07

Sally, if you'd like to meet up sometime before the night out so you at least know one person, I can meet you in Sutton sometime - Fridays are good for me as dd is in nursery all day, but I could do mornings (early!) any day with her.

sallycinnamon · 19/05/2005 19:19

Hi WWB. I'd love to meet up! I work Wed, Thurs, Fri. But I can do mornings on Mon and Tues if that suits you.
