Anyone fancy a night out, for the Sutton & surrounding area's.

I live in Tamworth and Sutton is easy for me to get to.

I can also do Birmingham, Great Barr, Walsall etc

Any takers

Lets have some dates and locations for a nice meal and drink (non alcoholic for me)

There is Bottle of sac and Litten tree in sutton centre.

WigWamBam · 09/05/2005 20:45

The Horse and Jockey is OK, there are a couple of pizza places and a couple of other restaurants in the centre of Sutton as well that are easy enough to get to. Off the top of my head there's Pizza Express, Pizza by Goli, and Ask, which I think is a mediterranean restaurant but not cheap. There are a couple of pubs which do food as well, a Wetherspoons and The Litten Tree; depends what sort of thing people are looking for.

whimsy · 09/05/2005 20:57

What does everyone else fancy? Im easy really, as long as they sell potatoes WigWamBam

nutcracker · 09/05/2005 20:58

WigWamBam · 09/05/2005 21:02

I haven't been to one before, no. And I'm not the bravest of people about these things ... we can sit and cower in the corner together, nutty

nutcracker · 09/05/2005 21:03

WigWamBam · 09/05/2005 21:11

LOL

whimsy · 09/05/2005 21:14

Dh has had ds running up to me with his potatoe man all night

So what do we fancy then?

WigWamBam · 09/05/2005 21:20

I like pizza ... but I'm happy enough to go along with everyone else, as long as there's something veggie on the menu

nutcracker · 09/05/2005 21:31

I am easy, i don't mind what we have.

whimsy · 09/05/2005 21:36

Im easy too.

LunarSea · 09/05/2005 22:12

I always seem to end up with my only choice being just a green salad (and no croutons), followed by icecream (and no wafer) at pizza places 'cos I have to be careful about having wheat - which means no pizza, pasta, garlic bread, breadsticks, pastry, etc. Shame, because I like it - it just doesn't like me!

WigWamBam · 09/05/2005 22:13

What would suit you then, Lunarsea?

LunarSea · 09/05/2005 22:42

WWB - just about any kind of food is fine except places which only do Pizza and Pasta!

whimsy · 10/05/2005 15:57

Right, what are the other places like then, I don't go to Sutton very often. I think there is a TGI fridays and Ask. Which pubs are good for food?

WigWamBam · 10/05/2005 16:10

There's a TGIs, and an ASK, there's a Weatherspoons as well, which is OK for food. The Horse and Jockey does food but I don't know if it's any good.

Ronniebaby · 10/05/2005 21:13

I cant do 25th May got vicar coming, otherwise most other nights except Thursdays are fine.

It was the Horse & Jockey Whimsy, we ended up in La Reserve, but yeh there is TGI's, La Reserve, Harvester - Boldmere, The Cock Inn - Wishaw (altho limited on food choice), Pizza by Goli, Parson & Clark - more streetly, bassetts pole,

So 25th not good for RB, 18th not good for WWB. That leaves 8th or 15th June. As earlier is better than late for Whimsy how about the 8th, and then we'll aim for the 16th for the Solihull one to keep them at least a week apart?

MadameButterfly · 11/05/2005 10:41

Hi all,

The 8th of JUne should be good for me. I will need to check with the inlaws though that they are ok to look after DD until DP gets home.
