[Jaamy makes note for 6pm on the 14th]. Who me? late? never!

Sorry stoppin will have to meditate on my order and get back to you. Quite excited about a good Indian - is that sad?

BTW - Colie - don't let these travesties of the dedicated housewife/devoted mother put you off. I regularly spend hours ironing...would be quicker but I just haven't figured out a way to strap the DDs on to the ironing board!

I will need help deciding what to have, as we never have indian at home, so I have forgotten what is what!! I dont like them too hot, but a korma is too mild! Would possibly say a tikka masala or is that too boring??!!

Looking forward to escaping this madhouse for a few hours!!!

stoppinattwo · 07/03/2009 07:38

AR I was thinking we could get a few different ones and just try each one if you want.....tikka masala is lovely though ...make space for the calories girls!!!!!

HappyandEiknowit · 08/03/2009 00:49

TC come along if you want, it will be lovely to see you, do you have anyones moby that you can get my address??

TotalChaos · 08/03/2009 08:10

colie · 08/03/2009 13:56

HappyandEiknowit - where is acorn farm? Is it any good and is it expensive.

I am trying to get a list of nice places to take kids to during easter hols. You would think I was some kind of organised Mum

I do that all the time, staring at someone because I am trying to work out where I know their face from. It is so annoying when you can't place the person.

Jaamy - it is sunday again so will need to go do the ironing .

I am having a very peaceful weekend as dh has taken kids away for the weekend to visit family. Just making the most of quiet time.

Hope you's are all having a good weekend.

browny · 08/03/2009 14:09

Hi Coli, here's the farm the farm, it's in Kirkby and really cheap, it's only small but ideal for an hour or two, there's sheep, goats, rabbits that you can buy food for, if it's wet put wellies on the kids .

browny · 08/03/2009 14:10

www.acornfarm.co.uk

colie · 08/03/2009 15:01

Browny, thanks for that. On looking at the site realise I have been there.

I went with the kids with some of the mums from a surestart centre last easter. The coach driver got lost and I ended up with terrible travel sickness. Was not good with a 8 week old baby, a 2 yr old and a 5 yr old. Luckily everyone else helped with the kids. I was a bit , expected travel sickness from the kids, not me.

Kids had a great time though. Will take them back this year but in my own car with a sat nav .

andyrobo237 · 08/03/2009 17:27

If you have the money (and take a picnic!) then the safari park is good - we are going at Easter - I am on the look out for some kids go free vouchers - they had them at half term! Can be a bit pricey for a whole family though!

SA2 - just order me something and some Naan bread and some dips, and let me know how much I owe you!! Looking forward to it! Had another offer of tea at SIL's as it is her DH's birthday, but in between both sets of kids having parties, swimming, gymnastics, etc we could only manage an hour after 4pm, so she offered for us to stay for tea, but DH doesnt finish work until 6pm, so he couldnt come until later, and then I remembered I had a prior arrangement at SA2's house - so I told them we couldnt do tea!!! Didnt feel too bad as they made a fuss about going to Pizza Hut for DD's birthday last month, and messed up plans we had for DS's birthday! BIL had the cheek to suggest that his son should not be going to a 5 year olds party when it was his (BIL's) birthday! Fortunately he was told to behave!

Better do and fix tea - bought a chicken from M&S - thought it was ready cooked, but it wasnt - it was just a glaze on it and it needs 2 hrs to cook - guess what we are having tomorrow!!

Biglips · 09/03/2009 08:24

ei - i had a green coat on when i was there. i had a great time there. ive never been before and the kids loved the horse rides and the petting area. Now Dd1 got tonsilitis ! Gotta get her sorted before she pukes up over me again. Sorry i didnt say hi as i dont i noticed anyone there apart from our family . did u have a good time?

Biglips · 09/03/2009 08:27

andyR - went to Safari park 2 weeks ago (as went on the coach from Levina's playgroup here) and had a fab time. (for people's info - The kids unlimited fair rides are £9.00 or pay £1.50 for each person for each rides). Also went to see the sealion's show and that was great!

Biglips · 09/03/2009 08:27

i went to the Acorn farm on the Saturday not Sunday as i was in N Wales

andyrobo237 · 09/03/2009 10:38

BL - we regularly go to Acorn Farm as it is near and a relatively cheap afternoon out - also been to the Rice Lane City Farm, which is free but not as good. We will be doing safari park at Easter!

Cant wait for Saturday night out - what to wear?.... oh yeah, jeans and a top - usual uniform!

stoppinattwo · 09/03/2009 12:33

AR I shall be in my PJ's

Biglips · 09/03/2009 12:36

Jaamy · 09/03/2009 20:12

Stoppin - I am meditating on the matter. Awaiting inspiration...don't want to say a dhansak now and then be feeling in a dopiaza mood on Sat...decisions decisions! I do think I want a peshwari naan, though but would also like a bit of rice. Anyone else like peshwari??? Oh god, it's so difficult!

OP posts:
Nemoandthefishes · 09/03/2009 20:17

Nemoandthefishes · 09/03/2009 20:18
