Right, so some voting (for dates), and some venue checking has been done, and Me n NappiesGalore have made executive organising planning decisions (based on us having little time and few options )

Saturday 22nd November

Nearest Tube Station - Farringdon

It will be canapes, so if you want more food, eat beforehand.

The canapes are being chosen for us - they will be clearly labelled as meat, fish, veg and will allergy advice.

The music we can bring a dj, ipod with playlist set up or have music piped up (music is a very varied mix so should suit everyone). We can use any/all of those options.

Music is quieter at bar end, plus we will have volume control.

Price will be £20 per head max. I will phone tomorrow to find out when they need final numbers for food etc, and when we have a more accurate numbers list, I can work out the right cost - it WILL NOT be more than £20. If we end up paying more than is needed, then obviously I will buy a new dress divide it up and refund people OR put it behind the bar - whatever you think is best.

I have invited us to stay with MustRunMore (One day she will confirm that is ok... it had better be though as I need her to lace me into my top ), and was planning to come back when you do Am hoping that is before school on the Monday

Have been thinkin.... I have no idea where CD lives in relation to MRM, so would be a good idea to compare notes so you can chuck us out near a station or summat if they are in opposite directions, then we can meet you back at said station.

nappies yes you do only need an iPod if you are happy to stick with your playlists. But as you said "im spending all night up there deciding from one track to the next what to play.." I figured you can't change a playlist on the fly...

if not MRM, then maybe hotel it???

Can we not just design a huge playlist on here over the next few weeks, and then whack it all on one ipod. plug it in and hit shuffle...?

Of course that does mean getting all the songs together as I doubt one person owns all the music we need, so I assume it would then mean paying for your song choices to be downloaded?

I only have a shuffle, so that is no good

If someone can bring a laptop with an "empty" iTunes loaded on it, then we can turn up with our iPods and download our playlists on it. All that has to be done is choose the playlist (groovy, loungey, dancey, soulful...etc.)

Or is it not as simple as that?

The laptop ipod thing sounds good to me - I think it is probably a case of hooking an ipod into a system, so if we all made a special playlist of the music we like for the xmas do, put it onto the one itunes, and then everything that is put on there is transferred to the one ipod as one big playlist - it will do a mix of everyone's stuff
