So, whereabouts in Roundhay park - which car park? The one near Tropical world (Ok, nearest, but not that near) or the one near the burnt down cafe and playarea. I suppose for those using public transport the one near Tropical World (and the Roundhay Fox?) would be better? What is the plan? Picnic, or amble... Sorry, didn't come last year, so don't know what the format is...

I'm on public transport, and know Leeds about as well as I know downtown Khartoum, so I'm going to need some help and pointers

I'm hoping to make it so put me down. I'll be driving from Barnsley so if anyone needs a lift then feel free to ask

Last year we met outside Tropical World and everyone had badges that looked like this: that their dc had made, twas very cute! (and it made it easy to recognise each other) Then we wandered down and had a picnic near the lake. Tis the only time I have been to Roundhay (apart from once in the eighties to see Bruce Sprinsteen and I can't remember too much about that occasion ) so I have no idea if there is a better place, easier to find/get to.

All those that weren't there last year, please don't worry and think that we'll all know each other and you will be the only one not "fitting in" It won't be like that at all, I only mention last year at all because it did work well. I don't recognise any names from last year's picnic on that list, so I may be the only one and I'll be the one over there >>> in the corner on my own as you lot all gossip around me

If it is a Friday, I may be able to make it. I know where tropical world is. Will nudge the South Yorkshire mob.
