i am setting off any min as it takes over an hour to get there for me , oh my dh coming to and ds bring his bike

Argh! First time I've gotten to a computer in a week. Rubbish. Sorry I couldn't make it, I really wanted to meet you all. Am moving house today - hence the absence.

Trace, it was lovely meeting after chatting all this time. Cannon Hall sometime in the last week of the hols would be good. DH might be able to make it as well. Chloe is such a treasure and so cheerful considering all she's been through . My DS hasn't stopped talking about her and your DS; I think he was really taken with them both (inspite of the slug incident!)

and squonk definately doesn't look like a squonk I'm pleased to report

We need a bigger and better attendance next time though! and I will try to be on time!

oh bugger, I knew it was around this weekend but didn't think it was friday. Have been bloody in the house, round the corner from roundhay all bloody aft. Also was on the park near tropical world with the dog this morning.

Everyone was lovely, and everyone's kids are fab!

Twas good that the weather stayed fine.

Have re-hidden the new picnic rucksack in the boot of the car, to be produced at a later date when I can realistically confess to having bought it

lol squonk, then you can do the "oh, this old thing, we bought that ages ago remember" . But would he not be impressed that you stopped a pregnant woman from starving because of it? (well not starving but having to treat her lunch box like a trough)

I hope IKEA wasn't too horrific.

Yeah she mentioned it . I would rather do it on a day when i'm not working but i only get one day off a week, next week day off is Friday, the week after Saturday then the week after Monday (1st Sept). When does your ds go back to school?

ikea was fab and we now have a blind up at our living room window.

finding ikea wasn't such a barrell of laughs! I had forgotten that you need to come off the junction before you actually see ikea so I missed the exit, then there had been an accident on the other carriageway, so everyone had slowed down for a good old rubberneck, then when I got to the next junction, I came off and back on again coming the other way, but then of course I was stuck in the traffic behind the accident. Then when I came off the motorway at the right junction, there were bloody roadworks and I got all flustered and got myself lost! I did eventually find ikea though and parked in the parent and child space right next to the door

Bought two blinds, a packet of plastic cutlery (but I won't give the kids macaroni with it), a packet of plastic cups, a packet of plastic bowls and some hooks. So all in all, a good trip. I did think about telling dp that I bought the rucksack there as well, but he would only make some comment about buying a picnic bag after the picnic and I decided that I don't need to put up with that sort of sarcasm when I'm actually lying being slightly less than honest entirely truthful with him

He is back on the 2nd September Phoenix. Am at only one day off a week though; sounds brutal.

Your journey sounds horrible squonk, but perhaps it was serrendipitous for you to get that coveted P&T parking space

am knackered though after charging round the park and than walking along the canal towpath trying to get DD to sleep while my boys were fishing.
