BOURNEMOUTH/POOLE christmas meet up

I know it's only October but you all know how bad we are at arranging nights out so I thought i'd start a thread and see what happens. Any suggestions for dates/venue?

I'm ok for dates in December at the moment apart from the 7th and from the 21st onwards.

Venue, hmm, dunno but could go somewhere with entertainment. The Wessex usually have something like a very cheesy Abba night. The food is 'ok' not fantastic but ok but but it's a laugh. Usual cost is about £20/25 and people tend to dress up.

Good idea Delgirl. I can't do the 7th or the 21st onwards either. I will go anywhere (there's alcohol). We used to have our lifeguard dinner and dances at the Wessex.

MM where are you? I couldn't follow that link, but you sound like you'll fit in well with the Poole/Bournemouth lot!

I am in Carlisle. But I wil be in that southern place where they talk funny in half term. Worthing? Summat like that in tellytubby house.

Oh! Quite a long way away then. Worthing isn't really that near us, but if you fancy another trip down south for Chrimbo you'd be welcome! And we aren't all southern shandy drinking wusses either.

I'd love too but I have a few nights out in the next couple of months so probably have to restrict myself especially as I'm on the cambridge diet too now!

I guess we can go to any restaurant where there's a table rather than an organised event. We're enough entertainment. Just need somewhere lively and central.

Shall we go for a date and then decide where? I can't do 7th Dec or 21st Dec and would prefer a Thu or Fri because of the inevitable hangover.

Or shall we have it early in November so whoops can come? Then there'll be a respectable break before the Feb round of birthdays.
