Yorkshire summer meet up!

Any one fancy big picnic type meet up? Cannon Hall perhaps? Shall we throw some ideas about?

Here's mine - Cannon Hall, once school breaks up but before 18th August! Any weekeday fine for me in hols!

Phoenix/Gingermonkey etc- stop swearing or using " distasteful" language on your thread as my school system won't let me on because of it!!

j20baby, Roundhay park is north Leeds, not far off the ring road, so m62, A1 then round the ring road. I used to live near roundhay and bf lived in Hull- about 45 mins to an hour depending on traffic.

Oh, btw I'll have dd (age 4) with me

betty - have you got a postcode for roundhay? or some other way to put it into route finder?

I think it's LS8, but I just put roundhay, leeds in

try LS8 2ER I think that's the park (altho it may just be a pub called The Park...not a bad place to meet tho...)

either the 30th or the 3rd is fine with me but it'd be nice to start a long weekend with a mnet picnic so the 3rd is my favourite

Im not sure when im coming up via Leeds so I will try and make whichever date is decided ........I have another meetup to do at flamingoland and if the 2 happen at the same weekend time then thats cool.............

I am FMV and I have 2 beastly boys aged 6.5 and 9.5. The 9.5 is nearer 6.5 and the 6.5 is more like 9.5...

where in Hull are you J2O? I went to Uni there and Dh works on Holderness Rd. Do you have a Hull acent - coz if you do I'll be following you around like a lost puppy making you say pine, nine and five over and over again I love the Hull accent!!!!!

I have an 8yr old DD and a 20mth old DS.

So far it looks like friday is the most popular day, I'll compile a list in a bit. (when I have found a pen)

J20 - am hoping to go along, if you want we can go together (although we may have to still take the two cars, as not sure we can all fit in one)

Bettythebuilder has no social life (rather like myself!) and can make all 3 dates (any preference, Bet?)

(btw, I can make all three dates as well )

I might be able to come - last minute holiday bookings permitting.
Will bring my rowdy boys (11 and 9) if others are taking older children.
Otherwise they will have to stay in the cupboard under the stairs.

I'm in Wakey so don't need to go 'convoy' - sorry got all excited about the possible Hull accent there and forgot to say where I was!! Which day is best for you?

ginger, yes i do have a Hull accent, but its not a broad one as i'm from out of Hull, however dd is a very pronounced Hullian and also very vocal, so you'll get to hear it plenty

j20 - we could strap the two older ones to the roof.... then we even have some extra space
