Anybody in Marlow, Bourne End, Wycombe, Maidenhead and/or surrounding areas who wants to meet up?

Me (38), dh (38) and dd (5.5) and ds (2.5) moved to Marlow in February this year And loving it. Still trying to build circle of friends. Though have to say seems so much easier than back in London.

Had built up a west london group but that's sort of a bit too far for me to join them on a regular basis.

Anybody out there in the area who would like to meet up for chat, movies etc.?

Hi tutter, won't be offended It can be a bit unnerving meeting somebody from the net, though so far the 'nutters' have been avoided. Saying that met dh on-line and jury still out whether he's a nutter

Hi MrsBigD, I'm a marlovian altho we're living just outside at present. Just about to take the plunge and try and move back in tho. I hate moving!!! I'm also a bit nervy about meet ups but it might be fun - perhaps a picnic down higginson one afternoon? Tutter - if you do i will!!!!! My ds is also 2.5 - is yours as boisterous as mine??!! I work PT every day so am not always around a lot during the week but perhaps a cheeky glass of wine one night wouldn't go amiss!!

Picnic at Higginson Park sounds nice. ds will be the toddler trying to get onto the highest climbing frame! boisterous is an understatement when describing him And I have no idea how he manages to be so wide awake and cheery at 0500 in the morning

Have never done meet ups before, but hopefully none of us are that bad!!!!!!

You couldn't have been more right about the choice of name!!!! And I thought I was the only one with an early riser!!! I haven't heard of marlowparents, I'll have to look into it.

Come on tutter - when the weather gets nicer lets take over higginson park!!

CountTo10... Marlowparents is a yahoo group by invitation only . It's been invaluable for me when we moved to Marlow and everybody I've met from on there has been very nice. Mind you most people are busy chauffeuring their various kids from one activity to another that regular meets are neigh impossible!

I'm still trying to sort out if we're going to Marlow Regatta but a large pimms at the bar sounds good altho ttc no 2 at the mo so going to be a quiet affair for me!!!
Or maybe given the fact it's supposed to be raining from now until eternity, anyone fancy an afternoon at jungle mania or somewhere similar? That way the kids can run off some of the energy they're accruing from not being able to go outside!!!

CountTo10... there's a fairly new indoor play thing called hopscotch it's not very big but clean and not that well known yet (I think) so not hopelessly overrun . they also do activities during the week which I think is great. Have been there for a b'day party.

As for ttc... both ours where I think conceived after I've been drinking

I am close by as well.

Am going to Legoland with my 2 boys tomorrow if you want to meet up!
