I thought I'd better start a new thread up for this one. It would be nice to get together during the school holidays and leading on from the weekend thread, another 'farm' idea would be good for all age ranges. Has anyone got any suggestions?

Here are a few of mine:

Sundown
Brockholes Farm near Doncaster (credit to Hula as she said it first )
Cannon Hall near Barnsley
Whigfield Farm near Barnsley
Rother Valley Country Park (OK OK I know it's not a farm but my mind wanders)
Wetlands Wildlife Centre (near me at Wath Upon Dearne)
Graves Park
Ski Village

Over to you ...

No problem at all KS. What with DH injuring herself every other day, we ended up being kind of busy anyway. LOL

I am around much of the time, other than 2 week holiday starting 12th August.

Gingerbear · 26/07/2004 14:20

When I was little I thought it was called 'Can and all' (I blame my mum's Yorkshire accent). Loved it then, love it with DD now. I would love to bring DD on Friday 6th. How about we park in the car park at the top of the hill, have a cuppa/ lunch in the tea rooms then wander around the farm??

Went there earlier this year and there were lots of tiny piglets and baby mini goats (awwh)

Hulababy · 26/07/2004 19:43

Sounds great Gingerbear. I have never been before so I am guessing the car park is an ideal place for me to meet and not get lost!

Might see if my friend and her DS (2y 10) fancy coming as they don't live that far away if that is okay. She came to the meet at YSP if anyone remembers.

True -re car park Yorkiegirl. So, do we meet at the bottom carpark at 12.30 then at the tearoom for latecomers?

Gingerbear · 27/07/2004 13:24

Hula, don't forget to bring your toilet seat thingy. I will bring the swim things and we can swap in the carpark.

WedgiesMum · 27/07/2004 16:37

Sorry everyone but I am going to have to cry off this one Was looking forward to coming and everything......

As it is the day before our holiday and the trip will be an hour each way it's not fair on the kids (and of course I will be packing ) because the next day we will be having a 6+ hour journey.

Hope you all have a great time and hopefully we can make the next one!

WMxx

See you all tomorrow. Let's hope the weather keeps up.

Hulababy · 05/08/2004 17:17

Weather forecast looks similar today but maybe a bit warmer.

So, 12:30 in car park - going to cafe after that. Are you all eating there? Just that me and DD may not get chance to eat beforehand as she is going for her first nursery visit before it.

Looking forward tit, see you all there.

Gingerbear - I will remember the PT seat!

Hulababy · 05/08/2004 17:17

Oh no - should read "looking forward to it"

Hulababy · 06/08/2004 17:18

Thanks all; we had a great day. DD loved the farm and park; and she was very much taken with your DD Gingerbear - she talked of her all the way home, interspersed with singing Old MacDonald. BTW, I have looked at the swimsuit and it looks great - cheers

Must do it again soon
