School holiday meet-up for S Yorks and surrounding areas

I thought I'd better start a new thread up for this one. It would be nice to get together during the school holidays and leading on from the weekend thread, another 'farm' idea would be good for all age ranges. Has anyone got any suggestions?

Here are a few of mine:

Sundown
Brockholes Farm near Doncaster (credit to Hula as she said it first )
Cannon Hall near Barnsley
Whigfield Farm near Barnsley
Rother Valley Country Park (OK OK I know it's not a farm but my mind wanders)
Wetlands Wildlife Centre (near me at Wath Upon Dearne)
Graves Park
Ski Village

I've not been to either attraction yet so I'm open minded.

Dd is the last to break up on 23 July. As yet we've got:

w/k comm 26th July free
w/k comm 2 Aug free
10th and 12th Aug free
and
24th and 26th free with dd only

Looking at Hula's dates, shall we say most dates from 26th July until 10th August to work on?

And if we get our act together, we can do a couple of dates????

Will come if we can! We go away on the 7th August and are doing stuff 29th July, early am 3 August and 5th Aug is Derby meet. Don't mind where - I'm easy to please!

Briliant! Too tired to work out dates for now so I'll get my thinking cap on tomorrow.

Is there somewhere called 'White ...(something) farm? Someone was telling me about it today at school but I can't remember the middle bit. And I don't know where it is? Fat lot of good that is!!!

White Post Farm is a place between Mansfield and Nottingham, is that where you mean?

If you go there we'll join in, cos we live quite close (I lurk on the s yorks stuff cos I'm Sheffield Born and bred, and always look for an opportunity to 'get back to my roots' )

Sorry I've not been on line for last day or so. I'll pour myself a large one when my two have gone to their dad's at 7.30pm and come back and sort some dates out to propose. Howsabout a North and a South meet on different dates?

Didn't get chance to come on and stayed off the wine on Friday ... made up for it last night though at a party. Oooh my head hurts today - but I had a good time. I was with people I knew from my teenage years.

Just coming round enough to say the dates when Hula, WM and myself are all free are:

26,27,28 July
2,6 August

Are we OK to think about these dates?

Monday 19th July - already off to Sundown with friend if anyone is interested
Thursday 22nd July - MN meet in Derby
Friday 30th July - off to London
Thursday 5th August - MN meet in Derby
Friday 6th August (am) - DD's first visit to new nursery
Thursday 12th August - Friday 27th August - holiday to Florday. Yeah!!!!
Tuesday 31th August (am) - Dd's second visit to new nursery
Thursday 2nd September (am) - have ENT appointment

Anyone else?

Yeah - 4 weeks on Thursday!!!!!!! Not that I am excited about seeing Mickey Mouse; it is all just for DD obviously!

Hula Cannon Hall is very near to the Sculpture Park - just a different exit off the roundabout when you get off the motorway at J38.

My friend (who came to last meet) goes to Cannon Hall farm a lot and she and her DS really like it. I am more than happy to go along there.

I can do afternoon only on 6th. DD has her first visit to her new nursery at 10:30. Think it lasts about 45 minutes. So we are free after that.

Fine by me - I'm been meaning to go to Cannon Hall for ages and I'm looking forward to it now.

I am around a lot of the time in Sheffield - school holiday, so no work and live rght in centre. I would love to meet up KS. My DD is 2yo BTW. Can arrange something on here or e-mail me on claireandrich(at)beeb(dot)net.

6th and Cannon Hall is good for me. Time??? Should be done at nurseyr by 11:30 - so probably a good ETA for me would be after 12:30. Is that okay?
