Wow! We filled a thread!

Hope you all find this new one!

Our evening was great, had a lovely time. kids were all very well behaved. dd sleeping in our bedroom is a nightmare tho - she's sooo noisy!

we need a 3rd bedroom

we're off for Sunday lunch at The Botanist later YUM!

2cute, we're scheduled to have skids that weekend but not confirmed yet. if we do, not sure if i could come and don't want to invite 2 extra kids and dh as that'd be rather cheeky! if we don't then we'll be there

it's far too early for a Sunday!

oh and my phone is fixed - hurrah!

Paddlechick666 · 07/02/2007 22:21

oh yeah! i forgot your recent return from the snowy wastes!

ds is probably the best kitted out kid in West London for the impending white out!

suejonezisdanielsmummy · 07/02/2007 22:21

poor D will probably think I've taken him back again!

Paddlechick666 · 07/02/2007 22:24

i doubt that! especially once you get him onto baby-cinos.

congrats on getting phone sorted - is it same number or new?

btw, i'm assuming from other responses ds went okay at CMs?

my dd is thriving at hers, she apparently loves putting her gloves on and her vocab is improving.......

allegedly, as she flings her gloves away and refuses to utter new words for me - boring old Mummy!

yes his visit went fine this morning - I only held out for a little over an hour before I cracked and went back but he was fine. He was a little bugger this afternoon and wouldn;t nap - just cried and cried and was a litle more clingy than usual but I suppose thats normal. He's going for a little longer next week.

suejonezisdanielsmummy · 07/02/2007 22:29

same number paddle

I'm off to watch the end of the diane Keaton film if its still on...

Paddlechick666 · 07/02/2007 22:31

cool on both counts.

bed for me!

n'night

Hi everyone [waves]

Been up since 4.45am

I read this morning that the average woman hoovers 7,300 miles of carpet in her life.
Not me though, ...oh no...

Sue did you read that model letter? If not, then my little joke has been wasted

Sue/Paddle - R U out to play on Saturday night?

Bought a new mobile phone and a new haircut yesterday

ooooh the world is all covered in snow, its so pretty

Paddlechick666 · 08/02/2007 06:46

morning

so c'mon, explain to me how dd can sleep till she's physically woken at 7:15am yesterday - a CM day - and today she's up at 5:30am!!!!!

don't think i'll bother going to the office today shirk from home for me!

foxie, i dunno where our hoover is - that's what i pay a cleaner for LOL.

is tomato ketchup good for you? my mother claims it is - i think this is just to cover up that she gave dd ketchup with chips the other day!

Paddlechick666 · 08/02/2007 08:16

yep, she's deffo doing that!

and still it snows!

sorry you're going to miss it Oxo, that's the 1st disadvantage of being able to walk to work LOL!

DD has her nose glued to the back door window coo-ing at the white stuff LOL.

what is it about kids n snow - how do they automatically know it's fun !!

Kew will be absolutely beautiful today but I don't think Mum will want to drive in this.

I'mn hiding out in the bedroom - working!

Ha Foxie! Finally some poor sod gets up before I do!

Nice view of Gunnersbury park from my window today. Hope it all melts before the roads turn to slush and ice tonight.

Sue, I share your sentiment that this is not much snow.

quokka · 08/02/2007 08:38

I forget your so close to me Uwila, you should pop over for lunch one day. the kids are usually asleep between 12:30 and 2:30, so we might even be able to have a conversation!

sfxmum · 08/02/2007 08:50

morning all

dd looked out the window said 'snow today' and wandered off to try and use felt tips pens on the carpet, i am sure she will be excited again at a mention of wellies

foxabout2pop · 08/02/2007 09:47

DD said "Is it christmas today mummy?"

Mummy immediately visualises credit card statements ...

foxabout2pop · 08/02/2007 09:49

Pushed the kids outside this morning and made them stand in the pouring snow at 7am so I could take a photo of them (evil snigger)

As we walked to the childminders (about 50 meters) we could see Daddy's footprints, still in the snow ...awww

suejonezisdanielsmummy · 08/02/2007 09:51

Not sure I can make Sat - think my mum is out to dinner, I'll check when I see her later.

D was up at 7.15 this morning (I know, I know thats almost lunchtime for most of you!) Earliest he's ever got up (jet-lag aside) - not used to filling in time so much especially as he wouldn't eat his breakfast.

So he's playing with my camera while I catch up on MN for 10 mins...

mellow2 · 08/02/2007 09:52

I'm working from home today so I don't have to brave the train breakdowns which inevitably happen when the weather is less than normal. [not gloating emoticon]

We've finally decided yesterday we can't afford to move. While the flat has appreciated adequately (if one listens to Foxton, appreciation was more than adequate!), the combined stamp duty, agent fees and legal fees will be crippling.

And I do want to get a bigger place as I'm anal about putting things away. I throw out stuff as soon as it's not in regular use and half of the time I end up buying the same thing 6 months later! Dd is fast outgrowing the hammock atm besides our bed and we're going to have to chuck our spare bed when she needs a new cot as there's no room in our room. And she won't sleep in our bed anymore.

End of epic moan.

Oxo, I would be keen to have a couple of drinks at the pub before dinner on Saturday.

Paddlechick666 · 08/02/2007 09:56

Sue, you and I are obviously from the same school of parenting.

allow them to play with a verboten item in order to satisfy addiction to 'net!

it makes for a very long morning when they get up early but i find it easier as dd is ready for an earlier nap.

much as i am trying to encourage a later start thus skipping morning nap altogether dd has other ideas.

as yesterday, she slept late so i wouldn't have let her nap but CM rang at 10ish and she was napping then........ ah well....

foxie, i'm shoving her out the door with Grandma this morning and will take pics too!

OP posts:
suejonez · 08/02/2007 09:56

so those of you "working from home" does that mean you can have a coffee break in M&S this morning?

mellow2 · 08/02/2007 09:58

Foxie,

Christmas makes me think of bills too.

Sorry to hear you're not sleeping well. I hope it's not the baby. I slept 2 to 3 hours for 3 weeks before I went into labour. I regretted not buying one of those maternity pillows as I think that would have helped.

Paddlechick666 · 08/02/2007 09:58

nope

i've got phone conferences

also, call me a wimp, but it's too damn cold to be going outside!

despite the fact I am shoving dd and Grandma out when dd wakes up LOL

OP posts:
suejonez · 08/02/2007 09:59

Paddle - I've only been a mother (properly) for 2 weeks, how have I managed to become this kind of mother already. What happened to the organic wooden blocks and tumble tots phase?!

suejonez · 08/02/2007 09:59

You could conference on a mobile from M&S [hopeful emoticon]. Actually you couldn;t the reception is terrible.

Paddlechick666 · 08/02/2007 10:00

hi mellow

sorry to hear you're not moving. maybe you can invest in some creative storage and cot/bed solutions?

xmas makes me think of turkey - yum yum!

btw, foxie i've got one of those maternity pillows. shoud've brought it over the other day doh! d'you want to borrow?
