Wow! We filled a thread!

Hope you all find this new one!

Our evening was great, had a lovely time. kids were all very well behaved. dd sleeping in our bedroom is a nightmare tho - she's sooo noisy!

we need a 3rd bedroom

we're off for Sunday lunch at The Botanist later YUM!

2cute, we're scheduled to have skids that weekend but not confirmed yet. if we do, not sure if i could come and don't want to invite 2 extra kids and dh as that'd be rather cheeky! if we don't then we'll be there

it's far too early for a Sunday!

Sue - its open during the day (9-5 I think) during term time and costs a couple of quid to use, but they have a fab cafe and lots of soft toys. It 04 I think, but most kids are 1-3. There are always babies there too and a range of toys for all ages.

mellow try googling directhealth2000.com also Uwila has a clinic near her - they both charge £80 per. jab

Paddlechick666 · 12/02/2007 12:40

sue, it's really only open till 3pm most days - private parties seem very popular there.

on a nasty weather day it can be very full on but it thins out around noon and they do have a nice range of lunches for kids and adults.

i've taken dd since she was 10 months, pud's ds has been going since 8 months and they were both fine. you just have to keep an eye and can't expect to sit and chat altho others clearly do and it's their kids that end up bashing my kid!!!

but i growl in a threatening manner and job done lol - i very nearly made a particularly boisterous 3 year old cry the other day!! she was hurling herself into the ball pond - i just told her it wasn't a good idea with the smaller kids sitting in there.

sounds like you've got your hands full today Sue, hope you get a chance for a break at some point.

he he he

Yes there is a clinic in sunbury. MRsBigD has been to it and says they are good.

Single jabs all the way for us.

foxabout2pop · 12/02/2007 13:03

Hi Eleusis - are you a name change? [confused PG woman here}

eleusis · 12/02/2007 13:06

yes. think right wing feathered friend.

Paddlechick666 · 12/02/2007 13:12

you know you're very anti-establishment for a right winger!

i can't spell your new name

is it temp or perm?

OP posts:
eleusis · 12/02/2007 13:16

permanent. it has a matching e-mail address. Pronounced e loo sis (emphasis on loo)

sfxmum · 12/02/2007 13:17

i will try to make it to lollipop tomorrow dd seems to like the boogie tots on mondays.

have accosted xoxo at M&S and nearly caused her ds to run away, oh dear, but lovely to see you albeit briefly

eleusis · 12/02/2007 13:17

Ummm... I think most right wingers are anti establishment. tis the reason we believe in small establishments -- they are generally not to be trusted.

foxabout2pop · 12/02/2007 13:23

hmmm - if you're so right wing - how come you and I nearly always agree on stuff?

uwila · 12/02/2007 13:32

Maybe you are a closet conservative.

eleusis · 12/02/2007 13:32

Oh I'm crap at this!

Paddlechick666 · 12/02/2007 13:36

pmsl @ the rightwinger!!

btw, just to warn you, i've just emailed you all my Just Giving site begging for sponsorship.

If you're doing the walk yourselves, feel free to ignore me!

hi sfx - sorry no adult chat but dd ran away and was playing with the 'magic doors'. could've throttled her, had I not been surrounded by tofu eating, guardian reading hippies who would faint at the sight of me administering the clip across the ear dd so richly deserved. In the end I nearly crushed her to death with fright I was so delighted to get her back so she got her comeuppance anyway. DD has never ran away before - dd is a runner and escapes at any opportunity but it was an absolute shock dd running away.
My poor, shattered nerves.

I have an excuse - the take home sheet the hospital gave me for concussion said I would be 'irritable' and 'sore'; dh questioned whether he would notice the difference

xoxo · 12/02/2007 13:54

ulysess: why the new name?

CountessDracula · 12/02/2007 13:59

Can I just point you all in the direction of the Mile for Maude in Richmond Park on 12 may - please sign up for it, come along, bring your kids etc!

pudding77 · 12/02/2007 14:16

Can anyone recommend a good babysitter who's possibly free on Saturday night? Also, I was going to have them over to meet Patrick first and wondered if it's ok to ask them not to drink alcohol? I know it sounds daft but when I used to babysit the parents always said I could have a drink if I wanted to but I never felt comfortable doing it!

Paddlechick666 · 12/02/2007 14:26

hi pud

oxo knows someone and quokka put me onto a person she knows too.

i agree about the meet thing, i'd do same for dd.

as for the drink thing, i guess they would only drink if you left them beer or wine out. surely they wouldn't bring their own?

i'd be inclined to say, here's the tea and coffee, and i've bought you these lovely cakes/biscuits/chocolates to enjoy with your tea and coffee.

rather than say "don't be getting trashed on our booze while you're here" lol

OP posts:
sfxmum · 12/02/2007 14:28

puds - sorry can't help but no doubt someone will, no alcohol seems reasonable to me.

xoxo - hope you recovered, dd did not perform death defying stunts just exercised her clepto tendencies with an umbrella from Boots and flowers from M&S, only she needs practice and stop announcing loudly what she has on her hand while heading for the door.

Paddlechick666 · 12/02/2007 14:38

lol @ sfx's dd. mine has already started adding things to the shopping trolley which is always a nice suprise at the checkout!

OP posts:
eleusis · 12/02/2007 15:07

Hey, CD are you actually going to show up at the walk?

Paddlechick666 · 12/02/2007 15:09

but it'll be sunny (we hope) she'll shrivel up and die!

or she'll look like this

OP posts:
sfxmum · 12/02/2007 15:28

xoxo · 12/02/2007 15:30

She wd def meet you beforehand to see if you click and you are happy.

sfx: I've profited from a few soft toys and books that my los have pinched in their time. I keep showing them the plasma tvs but the little sods are so self centered!
