Wow! We filled a thread!

Hope you all find this new one!

Our evening was great, had a lovely time. kids were all very well behaved. dd sleeping in our bedroom is a nightmare tho - she's sooo noisy!

we need a 3rd bedroom

we're off for Sunday lunch at The Botanist later YUM!

2cute, we're scheduled to have skids that weekend but not confirmed yet. if we do, not sure if i could come and don't want to invite 2 extra kids and dh as that'd be rather cheeky! if we don't then we'll be there

it's far too early for a Sunday!

Am quite worried as Monti has hardly moved all day. He hiccupped last night when I was in bed after I had a curry. When I woke to pee, he never woke which is unusual. Then today he's hardly moved at all. DS and DD tried to wake him by calling out his name and gently jiggling my tum, and we got a couple of movements just now. Have just had a mug of hot chocolate and if he doesn't wake within 20 minutes will call hospital.

He's shifted position, his bum is now on my left side rather than my right side, so maybe I just can't feel the movements so much?

Paddle - about DH, specially after last week - he looked really happy with you and the kids in the car.

for you re. the poo - bring back the electric chair!!!!

Sue - do you fancy coming along to the book swap, 11am at mine next Sat - or did you just say you had people coming [confused and tired]?

Uwila - hey is this a rival meet??? or are you doing it Saturday pm? If so, count me in

Paddlechick666 · 10/02/2007 17:48

Foxie, i think this can happen quite frequently but it's really worrying when it does.

i heard the best thing to get them wriggling is to drink a VERY cold glass of water in one go. or milk. and eat some chocolate.

hope he wakes up soon and stops worrying you all!

big hugs ((((((x)))))))

sue, depends on when HRH gets up but will prob be there by 10:30 latest. it's only 5 mins in car for me so... is your mobile back online yet? i could text you......

OP posts:
Paddlechick666 · 10/02/2007 17:49

ps: bum on left is good isn;t it? pole position for labour i thought..........

sue, sorry, yes it's Twickers.

Have started using my work phone - so will call you/text you tomorrow with the number. I will rpobably aim to be there at 10 as DS naps at 11 perhaps we can meet for coffee after I've shopped when you arrive?

Talk to you tomorrow.

Bet they're not really enjoying FatBoys.

May order a take-away...

Paddlechick666 · 10/02/2007 20:18

okay cool.

dd was asleep in minutes this evening - am a bit sad as i barely got a kiss goodnight.

however, this bodes for a very early morning!

prob be there by 10am myself - we shop together

ach, y'know Fat Boys is over-rated on a Saturday night. they'll be having a horrible time without us!

i've a ready-meal lamb tagine to nuke shortly.

enjoy

foxabout2pop · 11/02/2007 08:03

Actually Fat Boys wasn't too bad last night - believe it or not!

We all missed you though

Monti is OK - of course as soon as we arrived at the hospital, he began to move - typical boy eh?

I've been told to monitor his movements and go back if he moves less than 10 times a day. Apparently his head is very low down now, so he may well be getting into pole position.

I managed to pack my hospital bag last night those - took 7 minutes with me in a highly stressed out state...

The consultant (not the one I'm assigned to) said last night "when is your induction booked for" and proceeded to tell me its Queen Charlottes "policy" to induce at 38 weeks for "women of your age".

Like feck they will....

pudding77 · 11/02/2007 08:20

morning, did everyone get back ok last night?

pudding77 · 11/02/2007 08:21

sue & paddle - we did miss you!

Paddlechick666 · 11/02/2007 08:40

morning all

i missed you lot

dd was asleep by 7:10pm and the TV last night was rubbish! i was in bed by 10pm - not very rock n roll eh.

dd didn't wake till 7am either so apart from checking on her and putting her blanket on before i went to bed i didn't see her for 12 hours

walking half way to dog poo park must've really exhausted her!

hi paddle we can chat next week am not an expert just made our decision based our research and also my experience working with special needs, hardly scientific but exercising parental choice the best we could really.

was thinking about you last night and dh situation honestly getting on with your life is not letting him down or being nonsupporting, hell you have his child to look after and you need to protect yourself too

Paddlechick666 · 11/02/2007 09:30

btw, i've got half term week off.......

sfx, yeah i know you're right. i'm just not sure about what to do next. probably nothing as actually that would change nothing would it!

after 18 months of this tho i want more out of life but don't feel able to get it..

ComeOVeneer · 11/02/2007 10:15

Morning all. Had a lovely evening last night (although didn't get a chance to chat so a few of you down the other end of the table). Both the children played dh up last night and ds woke at 2am, then dd at 5am, and dh was up with them at 7am (so much for his plan to keep them up later so they wouldn't wake too early ).

2Cute · 11/02/2007 10:48

Last night was great, good food & strange conversations, my cheek bones were sore from laughing!

I realised why the waiter "forgot" to bring my drink over. I think I ordered it at the time we were talking about hard core lingerie etc and our wedding nights! No wander he was too scared!

Foxi - Glad you made it

Sfx - Enjoy trying again though

Paddle - really sorry about your DH Would he be ok with you going to one of his counselling sessions with him? Maybe that could help you understand his behaviour.

Foxi/mellow - I am DEFINATELY not having the booster done. I had no idea that it was the booster that could cause problems until our discussion yesterday but despite letters from the GP and pressure from DH over the past 1.5 years, my heart kept saying no which is why DS hasn't had it yet. I always go with my gut feeling (not scientific I know) but God given so I trust it. Spoke to DH about it and he agrees to have the blood test done to see if he's immune. Will keep you posted.

Just to help me out could those of you who have boys let me know if you gave them the MMR & MMR booster or not PLEEEASE?

quokka · 11/02/2007 11:07

2cute, ds1 has had everything. He had mmr when he was 1yr as he was a very big boy and it was in the spring, so most bugs were out of the way. I will do the same with ds2 in the spring, never felt that it was the wrong thing to do but not eeryone thinks the same.

Thanks for a great night last night, nice to meet you o2bme, hope you got the bus home ok?

quokka · 11/02/2007 11:09

missed you pc and sj, next time you have to come!

Anyone hear from oxo - is she better?

foxabout2pop · 11/02/2007 11:24

Paddle - you off 4 half term - yay!! We must do some stuff with the kids - who else is around at half term?

2cute - not for me to tell you, but I think you're doing the right thing. My view is even if there is only a 1 in 10,000,000 chance of a vaccine damaging LOs, I wouldn't take that chance - speciallt after my Mum was offered Thalidomide in the 1960's and told it was 100% safe. The giovernment has compensated several families for MMR damage.

Sorry to get on a soap box, I can't help it as I wouldn't trust the government advice for one second.

phew!

How is everyone else - I didn't touch a drop of wine last night but have my book club later today

suejonez · 11/02/2007 11:50

When is half term? For those of us with no school age children and don;t follow these things...

Paddlechick666 · 11/02/2007 12:07

w/c 19th Sue, nice to have a coffee and chat earlier. hope you made it thru the checkout LOL.

foxie, i've only got plans for 21st so every other day free so far.

also, stick to your guns on that induction crap!!

2cute, i'm supposed to be going with him 6th march but who knows!

the lingerie convo sounds great!

haven't heard from oxo but hopefully she's okay now.

foxabout2pop · 11/02/2007 14:49

Hi I'm at hospital all day Monday 19th, then dentist on Tuesday morning (oh the joys...) but am free Weds, Thurs, Fri so far

Off to my bookclub now for a glass of bubbly and to set the world to rights

2Cute · 11/02/2007 16:20

Foxi - I'm free Thursday & Friday of half term week. Would be lovely to meet up with the LO's.

Paddle - Is your MIL approachable, are you in a position where you can ask her why you've not heard from him? I hope she's atleast sypathetic to what you're having to deal with.

O2BMe · 11/02/2007 17:34

Hi everyone, it was lovely to meet you all last night. Sorry I didn't get to chat more with those at the other end of the table.

Quokka - yes I made the bus home okay last night. The driver actually waited for me - was rather shocked.

I've noticed some talk about a book club or swap or something. I have just had a major clean out at home (still trying to finish it actually) and have a huge bag of books I need to get rid of. If anyone wants them you are welcome. Let me know and I'll try to get them to you.

foxabout2pop · 11/02/2007 20:49

O2BME - what kind of books do you have? The bookswap is where we all take our fave books and swap them, partly 'cos we also have too many books . Would be interested in hearing what you have though?

Hi 2cute

Jeez, its quiet on here isn't it?

suejonez · 11/02/2007 22:24

D's nappy rash much better today, thanks for the vasoline at night advice I think that helped. I ended up putting on a thin layer of metanium on and before bedtime covering it over with a generous layer of vasoline. He still woke up screaming where it hurt but only at about 11pm and 6am so big improvement on him waking in the middle of the night. Fingers crossed I will get a full night tonight.

Nice to meet you for coffee too Paddle - maybe we could do the other TEsco up in Osterley next time for a change. We could cafe surf around every superstore in the area (except Asda which has a crappy McD's and no decent tea)

xoxo · 12/02/2007 08:04

hello all: sorry to have missed fat boys but an unavoidable bump on the head put and end to my dreams of pad thai. Hope you all had a fab night with lots of lovely rugger buggers to google at.

I have a fractured skull and mild concussion and a bump the size of a small bowl on the back of my head, so pogo dancing is out just now. Am also sure I have made a great impression at my new work

having spent the weekend in hospital and then bed, I am bored out of my wits and keen on getting out this morning. Is anyone up for the lollipop club or something?

Paddlechick666 · 12/02/2007 08:24

oh my lord! how did you manage to do yourself such harm Oxo?

just dropped gorgeous girl at CM and working from home today so can't come out to play i'm afraid.........

sue, sounds like a better night for you and D. am sure he'll be on the mend soon - it's so horrid when their little bottoms are so sore. he was on good form yesterday tho despite being poorly.

very interested in supermarket cafe cruising - we could write a book! maybe venture into France - the possibilities are endless!
