She's at Silcoates (hence I am ironing pleats in her school skirt!!!! Bloody fancy school with its fancy uniform!). West Bretton is really nice, the neighbours dd goes there and her older sister is at Scisset (they didn't like Horbury apparently).

PhoenixGirl · 28/01/2007 00:21

We spend most time in Wakey

gingermonkey · 28/01/2007 00:21

Wakey is soooo expensive for houses - I really don't understand why, it's ridiculous. (I am also crap with money)

StinkyPete · 28/01/2007 00:21

ah-ha that's why you're not a millionaire darling

gingermonkey · 28/01/2007 00:23

Tell me about it. I dread to think what'll happen when ds starts. I think they just pluck a stupid figure out of the air and speak to the other schools to make sure noone's cheaper!

StinkyPete · 28/01/2007 00:25

busted!! dh has come home - must go jump into bed and pretend have been asleep ages, so i can bollock him for being late in!!!!
night ladies,
stinky

gingermonkey · 28/01/2007 00:27

LOL, night stinky. Think I'm going to turn in soon. Just waiting for some washing to finish - I am a domestic goddess tonight (hope I'm not pregnant and nesting!!!!)
Can't be arsed with the ironing anymore. DD will just have to go to school looking like the pikey that she is

PhoenixGirl · 28/01/2007 00:27

Night hope we meet again soon

PhoenixGirl · 28/01/2007 00:29

I've got some towels in the dryer and just waiting for them to finish then i'm off to bed too. Just folded ds's clothes as they just finished in the dryer.

what are getting Lewis for his birthday? I think the 1st is the hardest because they don't have a clue and they don't really care. Leo got a plane and a dumper truck from elc from us (and was obviously spoilt rotten by everyone else)

PhoenixGirl · 28/01/2007 00:36

Nothing We've just got him loads of clothes for the summer but we're not wrapping them up or anything. (bad parents again) he's got so many toys that he got for xmas so there's no point getting more just for the hell of it

gingermonkey · 28/01/2007 00:40

I agree. I go mental when my pil and my parents spend the same on my 2. A baby has no need for stuff, but our house is full of it. Fair enough on a 7 yr old, they actually ask for things.

gingermonkey · 28/01/2007 00:46

That's it, the washing has finished and I've even taken the drying out too (which means I won't have to iron it, I'm learning!!!) Now I have 2 huge baskets of washing to lug upstairs and put away - where does it all come from?????? Night night Phoenix, sweet dreams and I hope you get a lie in in the morning

PhoenixGirl · 28/01/2007 00:48

My dad cousin has 2 grandkids and she gave us loads of their old toys on top of all his xmas pressies so he's got toys galore at home and at my mums and there's just no need.

People keep asking me what he wants and i just don't know what to tell them. My grandma and grandad are gonna get him a bit of something for his actual birthday and then when he's walking they're gonna pay for him some shoes which is a great idea that i never thought of.

Night ginger, prob no lie in for me.

Bad news girls.... DD1 has been up most of the night poorly (must have what DD2 had) and she looks rough this morning (not as rough as mummy who needs sleep)
Just forwarning you we might not be there tomorrow if she is like it tonight...

I was so looking forward to it...Going to try my best to come though...Lots of medicine and sleep today for her

gingermonkey · 28/01/2007 09:39

Poor little lamb! Take her to Emley Moor and get the wind to blow the germs away! Hope she is feeling better later on and you get some sleep today x

sarahhal · 28/01/2007 10:22

God, you lot were up late last night weren't you!!!! I was on a rare night out and feeling lousy today Have persuaded DH to take the boys to the park so I can't wait to get back to bed with a good book!

Went to the Capri at Horbury Bridge last night for a meal - yummy, would recommend it!

Have fun tomorrow and think of me slaving away educating the children of Kirklees

trace2 · 28/01/2007 10:32

sarahhal just sent you an e -mail

gingermonkey · 28/01/2007 10:35

Yes, I was living it up with the ironing! Have got a pile the size of a house which needs tackling! DD has a party at capri next saturday, and today she has a makeover party (not sure if I agree with 7 and 8 year olds getting tarted up, but I am old fashioned!) I prefer Rinaldis, near asda in wakey (well, kettlethorpe) capri doesn't do calves liver or spinach, which is my fave! Have you been there?

sarahhal · 28/01/2007 11:19

HAve been to Rinaldis a few times on work does - also like the chinese next door.

Trace, will check my e mail now !!!

Hanlou007 · 28/01/2007 11:58

Staying in all day . MIL is going sainsburys for me as i am running out of formula for them.

I am really bored...Cant even be bothered to get dressed. DH is at work and wont be home til 7:30.

thethirdwisemonkey · 28/01/2007 13:15

Hello everyone. It's not fair, I've got an incredibly rare night out tonight and I'm full of cold - boooo. Don't think I can cancel really has we all have babysitters arranged etc. Bugger. Only good thing is dh is being lovely and is looking after ds and making my lunch - bless!! - right off to feel sorry for myself byeeeeeee

sarahhal · 28/01/2007 15:48

Where you off wisemonkey? Anywhere nice?!

Hanlou, hope your day isn't too boring - it's freezing out so wouldn't bother venturing out!

gingermonkey · 28/01/2007 16:39

How is she Hanlou? Any better? It is absolutely freezing outside, so you are lucky to be stuck in the house. I took dd to a birthday party (she came back with blue eyeshadow on - nice!!!!), got lost (the directions were wrong), had to ask for directions, had to do a 25 point turn in the narrow road that they lived on because the other mums were busy chatting and i wanted to get off for my sunday lunch at mil's! Now I am home, phew! I hate birthday parties, I am a miserable old witch!
