Quokka, had the same thing myself all week. dr said it was a virus but couldn't take anything but paracetemol.

suggest you get codiene/paracetemol from pharmacy and some strepsil and gargle with aspirin. it;s taken about 3 days to go thru my system.

SJ, I have a load of outgrown babygro/vest/allinone type stuff too which i'd be happy to donate. Understand you're on a limit tho.

Maybe we could all contribute to a care parcel and split the cost of sending it as a West London MumsNet donation to show our support for SJ and the orphanage?

Hi guys. sorry been busy at work and feeling very very low hence not participating since i have nothing funny or interesting to say.... bubble is about to burst but i won't bore you... good idea re sharing cost for shipping because i still have not had time to sort things out my end re bits for Sue. re tomorrow night I am in 2 minds about coming but hopefully i will have cheered up by then. if i feel that i am not going to be a bore i'll ask foxie if there is room in her taxi and meet with her at ealing broadway. Pls don't take it the wrong way if i don't show up tomorrow, i just want to hide and cry at the mo... and i am so useless that i dont even know how to change my bloody name on here. it will pass but i wouldn't min a cyberhug in the meantime...

Poor Quokka...I second the advice to take codeine/paracetamol combinations, solphadeine is fab (take the soluble one as it works much quicker).

Nanou - sorry you're down. I'm sure a night out is just the remedy you need, I'm counting on it myself! We could all have a (much needed) therapy session and laugh at the same time so come on....ooh, most important of all, there'll be dessert.

Tommeetippee are not playtex. no competition. It's the screw top seal and the easy wash valve that actually stops the liquid from spilling when not being sucked that sells them for me. The insulation is just a bonus.

possible a little competition in that tommee tippee can be got in Tesco?! lol

actually the one i've got isn't insulated. the straw works like a camelbak valve so there's no spill when not being sucked either.

actually, that reminds me i've a so called "magic" cup that's hardly been used that I could put in the care package for SJ.
