told them 'no one's birthday that I know of, we're just a bunch of mothers going out for sanity check' to which he laughed... had a nervouse tinge to it though

foxinbubblesletsmaketrouble · 17/10/2006 17:24

"Hi I'm FatFox and I'm a Chocoholic"

They no doubt remember the Caholic Mum's from last year, hence the nervous laugh !

It was also Divali week when we visited last year and the waiters from the Indian restaurant next door kept lighting fireworks in the bins by the bus stop outside, then running away very very quickly. Was highly amusing, if a little alarming

BTW I will be driving from Ealing, probably leaving W5 about 6-6.15pm. Where shall I pick people up from? You can either come to our office (MrsBigD?) or meet me at Quokka's maybe or somewhwre else on the way???

Sue - can give you a lift back, so you can drown in alcohol too if you like

2Cute · 17/10/2006 19:02

Hauntedvillas - you're near me so do you want to catch a lift with me and Oxo? Or should I say Oxo and I?!

Paddle could pick you up aswell if you want to go for main?

MrsBeDreadingTrickOrTreat · 17/10/2006 19:03

Oh goody the foxie cab services is still running . I can meet you at the office foxie. Otherwise if there are lots of takers for the seats I'm happy to catch the 65

ScarySJ do you need anymore kids stuff?

hauntedvillas · 17/10/2006 19:42

2Cute, that's a kind offer! Where do you live? What time are we meeting at? (Whoops, vacant moment!!) - I'm coming straight from work so will prob go there from Richmond tube.

foxinbubblesletsmaketrouble · 17/10/2006 20:26

MrsB - have up to six passenger seats so you'll be fine

FiziWhiziLetsGetScary · 17/10/2006 20:57

hi 2cute, thanks for the offer but i'm definately only going to make it for pudding.

dd has such a nasty cough and cold it's difficult enough for me to get her off never mind anyone else!

quokka · 18/10/2006 09:26

Can't believe I have gotten sick! My throat feels like it's got sawdust stuck in it , and my head has a thumping hammer in it. I'm gonna have have to get back to you guys tonight to see if I feel better or worse.

The great news is for the first time in 3 yrs I can take DRUGS!!!!!!!!!! Can't wait till dh comes home tonight so I can have a break. The kids are going to have square eyes by the time he gets back

Boowila · 18/10/2006 09:37

Quokka, you might want to invest in some Vicks First Defense. But, you have to take it as soon as possible. It won't stop the cold, but it claims to reduce the severity of it.

I caught this nasty cold that is doing it's rounds before leaving for Chicago and used the first defense. And, it wasn't too bad.... until I spent the night at my sister's place with her damned cat (to which I am allergic).

quokka · 18/10/2006 09:41

Had some day nurse this morning, if I can manage to get in shower and dress lo's then will pop down to chemist later. to be honest anything has to be better than paracetemol!

MrsBeDreadingTrickOrTreat · 18/10/2006 10:06

poor quokka! my lifeline is generally daynurse/nightnurse in tablet form and lots of tea with manuka honey. Hope you feel better soon

MrsRecycle · 18/10/2006 10:25

Ooh it's nice to feel needed (not just for my boobs!. I'm still not sure yet as dh went and gave ds1 a little bit of formula last night, resulting in ds1 awaking every 2 hours. If it happens again tonight I'll be too tired to come along - so you can all wring my dh's neck for me .

MrsBigD - I'll check back tomorrow to see if there are any spaces left.

Boowila - I've just tried to change my name (one handedly as pump is attached to the other) but I'm getting an error. Will try once I've got both hands free.

MrsBeDreadingTrickOrTreat · 18/10/2006 10:50

MrsR what are you going to change it to? Quickly before I print the name tags!

MadameMedela · 18/10/2006 11:16

Okay okay MrsBigD - will this do???

pumpkinpud · 18/10/2006 11:49

Oooh fancy name - I like it MadameMedela!

scarysuejonez · 18/10/2006 12:20

Sorry MrsBigD - have been lying low sulking.

Definitely will take bodies with me but depends how big cars are, luggage is jampacke already!

Boowila · 18/10/2006 12:33

Oh I am NOT calling you Madame anything. You better come. I know where you live and MrRecycle's life depends on it. Or is that MrMedela? If the little prince is offered nothing but breast milk in bottle, he will drink it... eventually. And if he doesn't and screams the place down until you get home, then give him boobie when you get there.

scarysuejonez · 18/10/2006 12:44

thats baby clothes kinda bodies not headless corpse kinda bodies...

MadameMedela · 18/10/2006 12:57

He has no problem taking what is offered to him in a bottle (typical man ) - it's just I have to deal with the side-effects if it - being woken up every 2 hours. Talking of the little prince, he's just woken up so better go.

Sue - I have loads and loads of baby clothes that I would gladly give to a good home (unless Boowila wants them back ). I know you don't have much space left but I was thinking you could get an address out there and I could send them on.

scarysuejonez · 18/10/2006 13:03

MrsR - I can take some clothes if not too bulky - they mostly want easily washable at high temp (ie cotton) stuff like bodies, tshirts, all in ones.

MadameMedela · 18/10/2006 13:05

Okay Sue will bring tomorrow (did I just say that?)

scarysuejonez · 18/10/2006 13:05

apparently!

Boowila · 18/10/2006 13:07

Yo Medela, you might want to check out shipping costs to Kazakhstan before you make such offers.

Ok, so if he drinks from a bottle, what the problem with coming tomorrow night? If it's pumped breast milk surely there won't be an upset tummy (unless you have a strong curry for lunch).

Boowila · 18/10/2006 13:08

Ah, so you're coming, then. Promise?????

Boowila · 18/10/2006 13:11

So, Sue, what is the latest news? Are you still waiting for the bloody visa?

I'm bringing your suppy cups tomorrow night (thinklI might have already mentioned this but can't be bothered to read down the thread and check).
