foxinbubblesletsmaketrouble · 16/10/2006 20:51

Mine were asleep early to

"Haunted Villas" - love that name

ps. not only do Escale do good puddings, they also (and most importantly to my mind) do HOT CHOCOLATE

FiziWhiziLetsGetScary · 16/10/2006 20:58

it didn't last, just had a 20 minute settling back down period. poor wee girl is full of snot so she's very snuffly tonight.

god don't you just love 'em when they're all sleepy warm in their white babygros and they just snuggle up to you..........

hauntedvillas is great, i think that might have to win a prize!

foxinbubblesletsmaketrouble · 16/10/2006 21:01

The prize being an Escale Pudding

Whizzy - how are you feeling now, any better?

By the way, TMI re. the snot

FiziWhiziLetsGetScary · 16/10/2006 22:12

sorry about the snot!

MrsBeDreadingTrickOrTreat · 17/10/2006 11:27

MrsBeDreadingTrickOrTreat · 17/10/2006 12:44

tomorrow? time warp alert

Boowila · 17/10/2006 12:55

Yeah, what's going on tomorrow? Is Nanou going to dinner alone?

pumpkinpud · 17/10/2006 13:12

Going back to foxie's comment about hot chocolate - do they have it with marshmellows or I am just been too demanding now

pumpkinpud · 17/10/2006 13:12

That was supposed to be 'am I been too demanding...'

MrsBeDreadingTrickOrTreat · 17/10/2006 13:40

if in doubt bring your own marshmallow you demanding woman you

hauntedvillas · 17/10/2006 13:45

Sue, I would rather drown my sorrows in pudding and alcohol which I fully intend to do on Thurs. That's assuming dd has recovered from the vile vomiting bug. She managed to keep a piece of toast down this morning so I am hoping, hoping ...

So, on Thurs I'll be the one with the dried up old-lady hands from all the washing and cleaning up - and smelling faintly of Dettol. Who wants to sit beside me

Mrsbigd is there a seating plan? Will there be petit fours afterwards? What is the dress code? If I can't wear jeans it constitutes a national crisis ... although I could certainly stick my tiara on if it's going to be a dressy affair

sfxmum · 17/10/2006 13:48

dress code? maybe something with some room to expand, there is pudding and booze to consume not to mention yummy main

MrsBeDreadingTrickOrTreat · 17/10/2006 13:51

hauntedvillas, sfxmum got it spot on re dress code

I usually wear jeans so don't worry. I like dettol so I'll sit next to you. 'fraid no seating plan but I'm trying to get rather rudimentary name badges done or shall I make them as place cards? hmmmmm

Boowila · 17/10/2006 13:51

Dress code? Oh, you are new. If it doesn't have kiddie vomit and need ironing you will be over dressed.

Actually, I'll be coming straight from work so won't be in jeans. But, if I were coming from home, jeans would be a good bet.

Boowila · 17/10/2006 13:52

Oh yes, place cards are a great idea.

hauntedvillas · 17/10/2006 13:57

Currently dipping between this thread and urgently surfing for home storage "solutions". We are running out of space in our modest dwelling and I fear I shall soon be forced into the shed. I can bring some stickers if you like on Thurs and we can just write our names on them! A bit low-rent, but ho hum who cares ! Or shall we do a boardroom style "icebreaker" ie I'm haunted villas, have one dd (21 months), a younger husband (result!) and a space crisis (scream!)

MrsBeDreadingTrickOrTreat · 17/10/2006 14:10

haunted we've got a storage unit at spacemakers. They're very reasonably priced

hauntedvillas · 17/10/2006 14:15

But that would be a long way each morning just to get my pants :-)

I need pants and socks storage and I need it now. Unless we start going commando. It's an option - and would save on the washing.

MrsBeDreadingTrickOrTreat · 17/10/2006 14:59

just had a call from Escale just to let me know that we can only have 2 more people join us as they're now fully booked! Also they enquired whether it's a special occassion, like a birthday as they could do a cake. Aren't they sweet!

Boowila · 17/10/2006 15:19

So whose birthday did you say it was?
