MrsBigD - We had a school Mum's meet up in Escale once and I think there were about 15 of us, so should be OK. If we get any drop outs on the day though, it would be good to ring Escale and tell them the new number again, so they can arrange chairs and free up other tables, breath a sigh of relief etc.

When I was there with the 15 drunken Catholic Mums, we had a new, very young, male waiter who was allocated our table (by his colleagues I think, as a rather cruel initiation ceremony). He had to fillet a fish at our table and he was so nervous his hands shook

I was there last week and the waiters lent my friend an umbrella as it was raining! So sweet

Did they ask you for a deposit?

Uwila - great to have you back in Town
MrsRecycle - I used to take my new borns out with me to restaurants so I could BF them! You may not fancy that, but just a thought. (or rather...I just want to see your newborn )

MrsBeDreadingTrickOrTreat · 16/10/2006 15:59

foxie that indeed sounds like a mean initiation rite LOL hmmm shall we all order very difficult dishes then?

p.s. in the spirit of halloween I've also changed my name but welcome any better suggestions

Boowila · 16/10/2006 16:11

I felt like getting into the holloween spirit with a new name. What do you think?

Hey, MrsR, now that you aren't preggie are you going to change your name again? MrsRecycle just doesn't suit you now.

pumpkinpud · 16/10/2006 16:23

Hey, we're all getting into the halloween spirit!

lemonAIIEEE · 16/10/2006 16:25

I'm trying, but I'm not entirely satisfied...

Nanou1 · 16/10/2006 16:31

WiFiWhizzJustCallMeaGeek · 16/10/2006 16:48

sfxmum · 16/10/2006 16:59

gooness what a big group! name tags deffo needed

FiziWhiziLetsGetScary · 16/10/2006 17:01

LOL. Sorry!

erm, what about NanouLaRevenant

foxinbubblesletsmaketrouble · 16/10/2006 18:22

Fizzywhizzy - eh?

How about Nanoooowhoooowhoo?

OK: how about some ground rules for Thursday?

1 anyone who doesn't turn up may be gossiped about without guilt
2 anyone who refuses pudding gets evicted
3 no yummy mummies

sfxmum · 16/10/2006 18:33

isn't a yummy mummy one who eats lots of chocolate pudding?

hauntedvillas · 16/10/2006 18:34

I'll be carrying a copy of "The Times" under my right arm

Am def not a yummy mummy at the moment - dd has just vomited bucketloads although managed to catch most of it with a towel. Rotten when they are sick.

Foxy, I don't think I have ever refused pudding.

Ergo, have absolutely no problem with the aforementioned ground rules.

MrsBeDreadingTrickOrTreat · 16/10/2006 18:52

I second foxies ground rules (and my cheekbones do NOT make me a yummy mummy )

sfx no worries she who eats lots of chocolate puddings is not classed as yummy mummy but as most welcome member to the group

As for nametags... fizziwhizzi... which aka would you like on yours?

pumpkinpud · 16/10/2006 19:00

Thank god I'm finally going out with a group of people who will eat pudding!! I'm so fed up of being the only one who wants puds!!

MrsBeDreadingTrickOrTreat · 16/10/2006 19:17

I even forgoe a main just to gorge on pudding

lemonAIIEEE · 16/10/2006 19:19

There are people who don't eat pudding?

quokka · 16/10/2006 19:25

turkish pudding is delish

suejonezisalwaysscarynotjustat · 16/10/2006 19:28

do escale do good puddings foxie? I would far rather drown my sorrows in pudding than alcohol...

suejonezisalwaysscarynotjustat · 16/10/2006 19:29

and that name should end with "halloween"...
