Second the cruel bit

Anyone heard from Yanks recently?

sfxmum · 13/10/2006 20:49

what time is the table booked for? i am seriously craving adult company which does not involve study

foxinbubblesletsmaketrouble · 13/10/2006 20:54

SFX - well done for making the correct choice!

Table booked for 7pm in the name on mumsnet I think

Look forward to meeting you

sfxmum · 13/10/2006 20:59

yes thank you dh is practically pushing me out of the door and leading me astray from the righteous path of seeking knowledge

lemonaid · 13/10/2006 21:06

So that's 13, probably 14 (less bored now so can't be bothered to type everything out again)

foxinbubblesletsmaketrouble · 13/10/2006 21:14

...to the unrighteous path of alcohol and laughter

Hi Lemonaid

MrsBigD · 13/10/2006 23:07

ok I'll up the booking to 16 (just in case) tomorrow then big bash! If I get bored in the office I'll make little name tags with mn names and space underneath for people to write their rl name I get easily confused and that way I might actually remember by the end of the evening who I talked to

Table is booked for 1900 onwards under mumsnet

Lemonaide... why type again? just copy and paste

Definitely going (13)

Yes, but I have to retype all the asterisks, and then half the time that doesn't work anyway and I end up with stray asterisks and random bits in bold.

sfxmum · 14/10/2006 08:30

name tagsoh what a meet up!

quite looking forward to it now, it's now a month since the start of my life as a sahm and i am more reconciled with the cr*pness of employers who made it impossible for me to stay
sorry promise no rants.

its about time to start doing the sahm thing properly, whatever that means

Newmum1000 · 15/10/2006 10:00

Lemonaid and MrsBigD - Really sorry but am going to have to bow out of tues meet - hadn't checked start time and my dh doesn't get home until 7.30 at which time the last feed is too.

Will look forward to next daytime meet instead.

MrsBigD · 15/10/2006 10:19

you could always just come for pudding

I'm still waiting to hear from dd's school which slot we've been allocated for Parent Evening... how dare they put it onto Thursday!?! Trying for early slot and if I get it I'll be on time, if not I'll either be late unless I can 'persuade' dh to attend with both kids in tow...

Blimey!

Uwila · 16/10/2006 10:53

Will catch up with this thread later. But just wanted to say I am shocked to see my interest in the Escale restaurant meet-up has been downgraded to "Probably going, we think (1)"

I am coming!

SFX, glad you are coming, too. We meet alas. And, of course you can have a rant. I wouldn't want to be the only person moaning about my job. Speaking of which, haven't been here for two weeks, so better get to work...

Nanou1 · 16/10/2006 11:19

hi everybody and welcome back uwila have not been able to keep up this past week . how very dare us to think you "may" make it on thursday??!! how was your hols? looking forward to thursday evening! have a good day all

MrsRecycle · 16/10/2006 11:32

I'll nick your status then Uwila (hi!). Another one whose dh is forcing her out the door (football is on and he wants to teach ds of 8 weeks all about the game). The only problem is I've got to get expressing as ds1 tends to have 3 or 4 bfeeds before going down for the night and formula unsettles him. 1 down - 3 to go so it's looking more like a definite.

Looking forward to meeting everyone (hopefully).

Nanou1 · 16/10/2006 11:52

Hey MrsR!!!! nice to see you. can't stay busy mad bee at work but would be really fab to see you

unmellow · 16/10/2006 12:06

Puds - still up for coffee tomorrow?

unmellow · 16/10/2006 12:07

Oops posted in the wrong thread again!

Duh!!

Uwila · 16/10/2006 12:56

Hiya MrsR. 8 weeks post natal and you are deffo due for a night out. Please please please come.

Sue, I have two sippy cups for you. I'll bring them on Thurs. What is the latest on the adoption? I'm sure it's written below, but I can't be arsed to read the whole thread. I am really tired and moderately crabby today.

So, could someone type a concise post of the last two weeks????

lemonaid · 16/10/2006 13:16

Sue's man at ministry has (according to current theories) a downer on her sponsoring organisation so is being deliberately r-e-a-l-l-y-s-l-o-w about issuing the last bit of documentation. Meanwhile Sue is at home on adoption leave going quietly (or possibly loudly) loopy.

Paddlechick's friend won 100,000 Euros on the lottery, but none of it has come our way yet. PC has also found the perfect nanny.

BigKat's sister had a baby boy.

fatfox had another bleed and came up against NHS bureaucracy, but was EVENTUALLY diagnosed with cervical erosion again, which is good news in that it explains the bleeds without being serious. But now she's picked up food poisoning by hanging around with SJ.

MrsBigD and her sexy cheekbones had a job interview with a young and dynamic accountant.

We all discussed school options and lots of people went to Kew.
