I have been given one snowsuit but it is very large - I think it will fit me! Do you have one closer to 12 month sized?

xoxoxo · 10/10/2006 14:41

Sue - no problem. Nursery/ schools in the afternoons so just call me on the mobile and we'll try to meet up at some juncture!

If you don't need the seat for as soon as babs arrives, and are buzzing around like blue-thingy wotsit then I can store them until things are more settled.

bunyanvillas · 10/10/2006 14:42

I have a very cute little red one - somewhere - will have a "rummage" and let you know Sue! Having a terrible day in terms of me being generally crap (lost dd's favourite soft toy somewhere in Richmond, poss either boots or gap, lost friend's parenting book, left freezer door open all morning, strained neck looking for aforementioned parenting book under dusty bed, dd threw lunch at me and ...errr if I think of anything else will let you know

Off now to hunt down snowsuit!

bunyanvillas · 10/10/2006 14:52

Sue, snowsuit not in house which means it must be packed away in box in shed so will have to get back to you on this!!

Nanou1 · 10/10/2006 14:55

Sue. will look at home tonight and let you know. anything else you need?

Paddlechick666 · 10/10/2006 16:26

oxo, tell me more about the strap on seats for eating at table as i could be keen on one.

sj, so exciting! wish i had some stuff that you might need but as dd is only just coming up 1 i only have newborn - 9 months stuff really.

i have got a rear facing Graco Auto Baby which goes up to 13kg - i think it's 0+ type but Oxo's sounds heaps better LOL.

bunyan, sounds like a nightmare day for you poor thing. suggest ice pack for your neck and whilst you're there add a little to a glass and pour over a nice long drink of something relaxing like a spritzer or some baileys........

why not try calling boots or gap and asking if soft toy has been discovered?

mother here for next 2 nights so catchya all later.

I have a 12-month-ish snowsuit somewhere, unworn as I bought it for DS in a fit of enthusiasm and then it didn't actually get that cold. I'll look it out for you, too, so you can be deluged in snowsuits...

xoxoxo · 10/10/2006 18:06

PC: we have 2 plastic (i.e. wipeable) seats that have straps that go on/under chair/ bench so that they don't move. Acts like a booster to put kiddie up to table level. Avoids need for highchair- good for small house, like ours. One has a back to it and varying levels so would suit younger baby, the other flips each way up to give a different height and has a small back to it (just above bum level) so better for say 1yr old upwards.

Not just trying to get rid but they were super.

My problem is that dd i.e. No2 was a nice suprise and we got pregnant a bit quicker than we thought (in fact, one damn good weekend!) so had to have all the bits and bobs at the same time. So now we have pretty much one of everything spare.

Anyone else want anything? Bunyanvilla: were you interested in the bed?

God - now I sound like a market stall holder!!

fatfox · 10/10/2006 18:37

Sue, that's fab news. Oxo - you can always leave stuff at mine for Sue and Sue - you could collect on your return. House is full of crap anyway, so a little more won't hurt (am around Friday pm)

Bunny - sorry about your bad day - I hate losing things. Look after your neck and give the two shops a call tomorrow

Hi everyone else

bunyanvillas · 10/10/2006 19:13

Ha ha, forgot to add that managed to wash bright yellow duster with a load of whites and the result is ... yellow and ..... streaky!! Luckily am now seeing the funny side although it's funny how a glass of Tesco's finest rioja helps! DD now in bed, her batteries finally having run down - now at home awaiting builder who is likely to come round and tell us that our extension will cost at least £10k more than we can afford, arf! Yay, will be doing the rounds phoning Gap, Boots etc tomorrow. The good news is that monkey was found not far from Climbers & Creepers, having been lost there on Sat morning! As DH helpfully said "why don't you just not let her take toys out with her"

frightyfox · 10/10/2006 19:40

Bunny - look on the positive side. At least your washing machine works, unlike ours, which broke on Saturday Have just reserved a new one from Curry's £130 discount in the sale

But in the meantime have huge pile of dirty togs on kitchen floor

pudding77 · 10/10/2006 22:02

Bunny - believe me, if you want to swap days then please go and battle the passport office for me . I'm sorry, I don't mean to make light of your hectic day, I'm always having to backtrack to find toys and socks that have been thrown out of the pushchair!

MrsBigD · 11/10/2006 10:04

I've done the 'wash duster with light colours too' very interesting psycedellic patterns indeed, though dh wasn't impressed LOL

For toys that can be thrown out of pushchair I can highly recommend those thingymijigs that you attach to toddler or pushchair and the toy that saved many things from being lost when ds 'discovered gravity and that things will fall on the floor no matter how often you drop them'

Hi MrsBigD - you ok? how did the wedding go? how are things at home?

Nanou1 · 11/10/2006 10:37

Hi guys.
I got the sack with my first ever aupair job in north london because of the dreading washing machine.... the lady of the house had a very beautiful thick white bathrobe and really was not pleased when it came out shady dirty pink colour . my sacking served a purpose though cos since then i have been mega obsessed with things going wrong... OMG... just realised it was over 20 years ago....
Sue - did not get the chance to go through baby stuff last night. it was my B'day and all the family called so it was a bit chaotic. dd wanted to do the cake thing over and over and stuffed herself with chocolate. result = so excited she would not go to bed etc - you get the picture?! will have a look this week and let you know asap.

Paddlechick666 · 11/10/2006 10:49

happy belated birthday Nanou! send any crumbs of chocolate cake over this way please.

was having coffee and cake in cafe on richmond green yesterday and they made a babycino (sp?) for dd! just frothy milk with a little chocolate in an espresso cup - how cute is that!

my urban baby sat there slurping away and scoffing my carrot cake too.
