I could grill you a fishfinger If you like Oxo?

fatfox · 09/10/2006 18:23

Oxo - welcome back to a west London which seems to be getting rapidly colder by the day!

Come on, what did you get up to then? Did the kids have a good time?

fatfox · 09/10/2006 18:24

I do a really good fish finger sandwich, with mayo

pudding77 · 09/10/2006 18:36

I had a fish finger sandwich for lunch today tho with brown sauce!

I have also started knitting - I'm currently doing my first scarf!

Oxo - it was my dh running & he doesn't do it for fun, more cause he feels like he should!!

Paddlechick666 · 09/10/2006 18:46

hmm, fishfingers, maybe i should think about this as a new ingredient for my wraps!

i'm getting orders from workmates for wraps now - how funny! today's was a sort of new yorker type with pastrami and turkey and salad, mayo and home made mango chutney.

am trying to join in on the fishfinger theme as can't discuss knitting.

where did you go then Oxo? sounds fabulous.

d'you think it's career limiting to tell your boss that you're falling asleep when he starts discussing what hardware works at which network layer? or to perhaps advise him that you're revising your decision to work at office on a monday coz it appears to be the Geeks Club meeting.

how's plans for the Cafe in Gunnersbury coming................

lol!!!

Fish fingers? Won't saint Jamie, the fat tongued chef be rolling his eyes to the heavens in despair?
Hols was fab: sun sea sand and sleep - all the essentials. Kids loved the beach and pool: so much swimmimg I can almost feel a muscle below my fat layers. We have no tv so every night was spent reading (luxury) or - hells bells - talking!! Fab.

Sue: in your angst I fear you have got knittingitis. Suggest alcohol is better pass time. Or clubbing baby seals.

FF: is all ok with you. Saw some briefs about hospital woes? Hope all fine and dandy.

Am hungry thinking about Escale. Can smell the garlic already!

suejoneziscalmernow · 09/10/2006 18:50

Paddlechick666 - I'm assuming when you mean wraps that you mean tortilla type wraps not wispy knitted wraps then?

NO NO NO - fish fnger sandwiches have to be with salt and vinegar with the fish finger slightly cracked open. None of your fancy sauces.

suejoneziscalmernow · 09/10/2006 18:51

Oxo - every night was spent reading (luxury) or - hells bells - talking!! No sex then (does that rank below these two?

xoxoxo · 09/10/2006 18:59

SJ: well below. Or am I just being coy ?

fatfox · 09/10/2006 19:02

Oxo - everyting s Dandy - must have posted update on our other thread..hols sound lovely

MrsBigD · 10/10/2006 11:04

xoxoxo · 10/10/2006 12:04

Hello all: having a clear out. Does anyone want:

car seat (Britax, from 9m to 3.5 - 4yrs)
Sue - do you still wany nappy bin ( I thought was brill), walker, etc?
strap on seats for eating at table (2)

Let me know

quokka · 10/10/2006 12:23

hello oxoxo - missed you. Unfortunately I wont be needing any stuff as I find it hard enough to navigate around my house as it is!

MrsBigD · 10/10/2006 12:46

xoxoxo got plenty of stuff to 'pass on' myself maybe we should all band together and have a giant mn yard sale? Problem is we don't have a yard

pudding77 · 10/10/2006 13:09

MrsBigD - count me in for the 19th, if you haven't done so already!

suejoneziscalmernow · 10/10/2006 13:34

Oxo - would love the car seat if you think it's OK and would fit in back of a (small) ford Ka, also nappy bin. Have no idea about walker but what the hell, why not!

MrsBigD · 10/10/2006 13:38

SJ when exactly are you flying now? I've lost the plot. Is it tomorrow or in 14 days?

Anything else you need? I've got open house for plundering

OP posts:
suejoneziscalmernow · 10/10/2006 13:54

Have booked my flight for Week tomorrow (so none of your suggestions was correct ) but may have to bump it to the following Saturday if can't get visa in time. ie 17th or 21st Oct.

xoxoxo · 10/10/2006 14:12

Sue - fab news - good to hear flight actually booked!
Am happy to drop the stuff off Friday morning (you are off work then aren't you?). Will you need car seat for being collected from airport on yr return with new babs?

Glad to hear so many of us have too much stuff: my friends are all on 2nd/3rd babies so have baby stuff already. What to do with it all?

MrsBigD · 10/10/2006 14:14

what can I say? I'm easily confused atm

Great news that you've booked the flighs.

OP posts:
suejoneziscalmernow · 10/10/2006 14:20

Yes not working on Friday, though possibly will be rushing around London getting currency, tickets etc so can we play by ear? Alternatively I could pick up from you Friday evening?

suejoneziscalmernow · 10/10/2006 14:21

I do have a car seat but its a strange 0-15 months (ish) one which I decided would do until I could get a 9m - 4y one. Need one for my mums car as well so no worries haveing one more (and I saves me having to buy two bigger ones)

Nanou1 · 10/10/2006 14:24
