Good point, bun. I'd have turned up and asked for the table of eight booked by a friend of mine. "What's her name?" "Err... umm... I don't actually know". It'd look like some kind of orgiastic blind date.

MrsBigD · 11/10/2006 13:05

the table is booked under mumsnet which got a bit of puzzled reaction

And hoping they do have enough wine for the lot of us!

and Sue originally said that if she hadn't travelled by 19th Oct (which is still up in the air) she'd be there drinking copious quantities of hard liquor.

Don't want to get there to find someone in my seat...

MrsBigD · 11/10/2006 13:30

ok so I can't count LOL
could everybody listed so kindly by lemonaide confirm that they are really coming? If so then I'll up the numbers.

Quokka... who? innocent me? Never

Is Escale near public transport, does anyone know? I wasn't sure how far it was from the tube station and am def not driving as one glass of wine is never enough

Paddlechick666 · 11/10/2006 13:57

it's prob about 10 min fast walk from richmond tube on kew road.

if you leave the station adn turn right down to the oblong-about (roundabout but a funny shape!!) and cross over into Kew Road it's about 5 mins down on the right.

Paddlechick666 · 11/10/2006 13:59

actully i meant oval-about.

sorry! got my oblongs and ovals mixed up!!!

bunyanvillas · 11/10/2006 14:07

I know the one you mean - just off the A316. This restaurant is near Molly Malone's pub, is that right? I shall be positively jogging there

pudding77 · 11/10/2006 14:12

I'm coming! Though as I have the early morning shift on weekdays I'll only be having a couple of glasses of wine.... oh okay, a bottle

Nanou1 · 11/10/2006 14:14

thought i said i was coming too.... on the 19th ?!

Paddlechick666 · 11/10/2006 14:42

yep bunyan, it's not far from there. other side of road tho. past the old mathias cafe that's being re-modelled into what will probably be overpriced plasticky apartments for dinks who will adore the original retained facade and buy their annual membership to kew but never use it.

they'll also clog up the road with their big-d&ck-w@nk-mobile Beemers and Chelsea Tractors thus endangering the life of my child thru fume inhalation and just having a stupidly big car that they are driving too fast.

rant over, i think you know where you're heading now huh?

i'll prob be driving my modest Bingo Bus so could do you a lift home if you're anywhere around St Margarets road/Mogden Lane iyswim.

Nanou1 · 11/10/2006 14:51

paddle - re hair colour i would do it asap because before you know it hair colour becomes a Necessity and not an Enhancement ifswim...

bunyanvillas · 11/10/2006 14:55

Hi PC - I'm just off Twickenham Road - just past the mini roundabout that leads onto St John's Road - so maybe a bit far for you.

Mrs bigd, nanou and anyone else over this side of the river how are you getting there. Is there a bus or is someone being sensible and driving - obviously I'm not

pudding77 · 11/10/2006 15:26

Quokka, you can catch the 65 from Brentford if that helps, by McDonalds opposite Watermans

foxinbubblesletsmaketrouble · 11/10/2006 15:31

I'm deffo in for 19th.

Have sexed up me name a bit for the season

Nanou1 · 11/10/2006 15:32

dont know yet quokka... did not even take notice of where we are supposed to be going this time!!!! my chaps at work did a surprise buffet for my birthday in the boardroom today - so sweet but i really should not have had those 2 large wine glasses of Veuve Clicquot feeling a tad tipsy (spelling? but you know what i mean)

quokka · 11/10/2006 16:04

enjoy nanou thats my fav, dh bought me bottle on sat night. We thought that I might have been preggers (again!) but it was a false alarm hence me drinking it

Nanou1 · 11/10/2006 16:07

lol quokka! my motto is "why need an excuse???!!!". it was lovely

Paddlechick666 · 11/10/2006 16:13

ah bunyan you're not so very far past our place so am sure i can get you home.

we're off worple road but not the south st end.

nanou, dh grumbles when i talk about getting rid of the blonde and persuades skids to tell me i look much prettier with blonde hair etc. then ultimately get scared at hairdresser and bottle out lol.

ff, loving your new name! we didn't chat about links today - try me tomorrow. working from home so will be online ALL day lol.
