Hi -can't recall name of GP a North Road - tall and male and very very horrid?

Sue - Brenda's Mum is one of the receptionists there! I'm sure she's the nice receptionist

My NHS saga continues:

My GP surgery spent all afternoon on the phone/fax to Queen Charlotes yesterday. My GPs referral for me to see a conulant at QC was blocked by ante-natal reception yesterday, who have told him I'm under 20 weeks and so cannot see a consultant, as that is their "policy". GP has managed, after several calls, to find out name of my consulant now and has faxed him direct, thus bypassing ante-natal reception.

I have made a complaint. Deputy Director of Maernity Services called me last night and I told her I'd been to casualty several times and had been sent home with an infection, unexplained bleeding etc. Infection could have been anything (i.e. could have been dangerous etc) bt was not picked up on any of my visits. Also my GPs referral has been blocked.

I have them in my sticky fingers now, and will not let them go

Sue - am also about what your GP put you through!!

fatfox · 06/10/2006 19:28

Sue - thought of you both today but was helping with reading in DS's class this morning.

Went to Escale for lunch with an old friend

May go to Kew Gardens Harvest Festival tomorrow if weather is fine.

Anyone else up for it - its supposed to be amazing - displays of housands of cranberrys on he lake etc?

suejoneziscalmernow · 06/10/2006 19:32

depends on weather and if I can pinch my sisters Kew card. But maybe...

fatfox · 06/10/2006 19:43

Oh go on.... you know you want to!

suejoneziscalmernow · 06/10/2006 23:53

I had "news" today. Not going to tell you until I've told my mum and still provisional on same bloody vital piece of paper arriving back in London... but NEWS (of a sort) none the less...

pudding77 · 07/10/2006 06:59

fingers crossed for you sj

fatfox · 07/10/2006 10:11

Sue - everyhing crossed for you in this house too

ps will be in Kew Gardens from 11.30 today if anyone wants to join us? (07779-289-041)

suejoneziscalmernow · 07/10/2006 18:41

sorry was walking the dogs with my sister in Richmond park at 11.30 this morning.

All documentation has been submitted and the vital letter of invitation applied for. The letter should arrive a week Monday, then I need to get a visa. There is a flight Tuesday night and though it is cutting it a bit fine, I'm aiming for that one. Really depends on the letter arriving Monday. Otherwise it'll be a fortnight today.

fatfox · 07/10/2006 21:17

Sue that's brilliant - here's hoping that vital letter arrives on the Monday

We went to Kew Gardens this morning, and met my step-Mother there. She had to give me a lift back as my pelvis felt all sore. She's so kind. She bought round two huge bunches of flowers yeserday to cheer me up - what a sweetie.

Wasn't it great weather though?

quokka · 08/10/2006 10:25

sj I've got my fingers and legs crossed for you!

Uwila · 08/10/2006 13:48

Oh, that's exciting Sue. Fingers crossed in America, too. I'm off to do a bit of shopping today so I will procure his/her very first Playtex Sippy Cups.

Paddlechick666 · 08/10/2006 17:21

hi all

SJ, great news and we're keeping it all crossed for you in our house.

FF, your step-mum sounds lovely. How was the harvest festival? I'm thinking about going with my Mum tuesday afternoon if she can get here on time.

Had a great night out last at a Hen party in St Albans. DH and friend's DH babsat at their house and we drove home about 1am. dd behaved brilliantly till we got home then decided it was playtime LOL!

Went to Richmond for a stroll this arvo. Popped into Clarks for some shoes and dd projectiled, talk about shocked! DH managed to catch most of it, sorry TMI!

We ran for the bus but she went again at the stop and it was terrible poor little girl. So we got a black cab home quicksmart.

It was awful for her and for us. Very scary to see her going purple.

She had a bath with DH when we got in and has been snoozing all arvo since. She's still very warm but hoping the vomiting is over with for now.

Anyone else had an eventful arvo?

PC666

ps; I also ironed 8 work shirts for DH so now have MANY brownie points LOL

pudding77 · 08/10/2006 18:46

Evening everyone, hope you've all been having good weekends.

Here's hoping that letter turns up tomorrow sj!

PC - is your dd ok? Sounds awful, poor little munchkin .

Dh was doing the Nike 10k run at Hyde Park this morning so we went along to watch him, then I originally was going to do some shopping and dh was going to take ds to his parents. But everything got a bit messed up as we were running a bit late so he was late for his 'wave' starting and he wasn't allowed to go until the next wave but he couldn't find me to let me know. In the meantime, I'm standing near the finish line at about the time I'm expecting him to be finished. So I head back to the car, thinking I've missed him. He then had to go to the first aid guys to get a phone to ring me to find out where I was!! After all that, I didn't get to do my shopping and the ILs didn't get to see ds!

To top it off, ds has decided it would be fun to be awake all day and we just want to collapse and go to sleep!

Woo, sorry, gone a bit war & peace there

bunyanvillas · 08/10/2006 19:30

Blimey PC, what a shock! Poor little mite. We had projectile vomiting throughout the night on Monday and it certainly is v alarming. Hope she feels better soon. We went to the harvest festival on Sat and it was lovely. Was not so impressed with the cranberries on the lake, they looked better on 'telly! But the squash display etc was cool. Went to Horton Farm near Epsom today - it is FAB, has anyone been there?

fatfox · 08/10/2006 20:24

The cranberries were mucho crappo, but he pumpkins and apples were fab! I liked "giant pumpkin man"

PC - hope you're DD is OK

Paddlechick666 · 08/10/2006 22:14

lol, i wonder what a "lurker" might make of the cranberries and squash comments here!

thanks for your concerns, it's horrid when the LOs are poorly.

we've had no more vomiting since about 1ish. dd has had a couple of breastfeeds adn some water.

she's asleep in the travel cot in the back room at the mo - can't bare to put her upstairs alone.

trying to decide what to do about work tomorrow......

Pud, sounds like you had a messed up day too! well done to your DH for doing the run, how'd he go? reminded me that my mate was doing it today too - i should've texted him doh!

well another spot of brie and then it's bedtime for me i think.

n'night all

PC666

fatfox · 08/10/2006 22:29

Perhaps DD knows you're due to start work tomorrow

pudding77 · 09/10/2006 06:44

He finished in just over 1 hour which as he didn't train really hard for it I thought was good!

Is the harvest festival on all eek or was it just the weekend?

Paddlechick666 · 09/10/2006 07:54

that's really good pud. i think it's on all week.

ff, you might be right but I'm still off to the office now and dd has gone off with the nanny and won't be home till 6:30ish EEK!

well i'll see y'all online later then

pc666

pudding77 · 09/10/2006 08:40

Have a good first day back at work pc!

fatfox · 09/10/2006 11:45

PC - at least you'll get to find out today how nanny copes with fresh sick

Good luck at work today - enjoy!!

xoxoxo · 09/10/2006 14:07
