I felt crap this morning thanks to the sun. DP was fine despite the absinthe, mead, wine, etc, etc... sod. Any hangovers this morning?

Not sure I can do much of August so I may be out of this meet! I think that I have one weekend free in August and I'm keeping it free to pick up my new ratties I think :)

Just been handling our girls and found that Ruby's tumour is bigger again :( I'm hoping that I don't need to put her to sleep before our holiday and also before we get companions for her sister, keep your fingers crossed for us.

I do realise how silly it is to get down about a rat :( I've managed to find somebody today who'll board them whilst we're away and was a rat owner for 20 years, so I'm feeling happier about going on holiday now. I so need the holiday, didn't really want to leave Ruby though. But now she'll be with somebody who'll know whether to PTS her or not if it comes to it rather than me worrying the whole holiday that she's taken a turn for the worst and is in pain. If she does need to be put down before we go then Nibbles will have somebody to play with her and keep her company so that's a bonus. Every cloud has a silver lining and all that.

It's absolutely normal to get down about a rat, pets become part of the family. I cried when I euthanised my fish a few weeks ago.
