It's going to make me sound like a proper Billy No Mates, but I am due to have baby no 2 in 3 weeks, and I am looking for some mums to meet up with to prevent me climbing up the walls and going insane. I have a 20 month old DS, who is a bit mental, but quite lovely when you get to know him! I'm happy to travel a bit when I have recovered from my CS. Anyone up for it?

Im in Castle Cary.No transport of my own but train station 5 min from me so that could be an option!
I have two girls 2 and 3 and two boys 6 and 9!

intergalacticwalrus · 18/08/2006 13:58

Castle Cary is lovely!

Could quite fancy a trip out there actually!!!!!!!!

Do you come over to Bath often, tortoise?

tortoise · 18/08/2006 14:07

Not been to bath for years! Used to catch the train to go shopping at chrismas with a friend when we were at school!(so about 12 years ago!)
Castle Cary is lovely.

intergalacticwalrus · 18/08/2006 14:16

OOOOHHHH. Lets do it girls!!! Obv I can't do much driving after CS for a few weeks, but I'd love a meet up in town or something. Shall we organise something for when the kids are back at school?

Marshfield is about a 10-15 min drive from me. I live in Weston.

I will need to know how to get to where ever we meet up from the station!Im good at getting lost

Lawlass · 18/08/2006 14:19

Hi - am up for it too. Have 23 mnth DD and 3.3 DS.

Yeahinaminute, I live in Marshfield too, may even know you, are you interested in meeting?

intergalacticwalrus · 18/08/2006 14:21

We can always meet at the station and take it from there. Would probably get the bus into town anyway, as I can't be doing with paying 100s of £s to park for 10 mins.

OP posts:
tortoise · 18/08/2006 14:31

ok.sounds good to me!

yeahinaminute · 18/08/2006 14:32

Ooooh - intrigeing Lawless ... you probably do - are you anywhere near the market place ???

yeahinaminute · 18/08/2006 14:41

Lawless and IGW - I can pick you up no bother

twocatsonthebed · 18/08/2006 14:47

Can I join in too? I'm pregnant with no1, due in 10 weeks - and am also worried about going up the wall and knowing no-one as we only moved here a year ago and the only people I know are from work.

I'm working in Bath but living out towards Castle Cary, so can meet whereever!

intergalacticwalrus · 18/08/2006 14:52

Yep twocats. Come and join us!!!!!

So, when is a good time for everyone? Weekdays wise, the only time I'm doing something is Thursday morning. Otherwise it's all clear, and on account of me having 2 children under 2, it's likely to stay that way

Weekends are good too, as DP can stay at home while I go off and be a lady what lunches, sans children!

yeahinaminute · 18/08/2006 14:55

Organise something and let me know but I'm off to la Belle France next Thursday am 'til the following Weds

twocatsonthebed · 18/08/2006 14:55

I've got ante-natal classes on Wed mornings in Sept. (although these are the hospital ones, so how long I'll last with these I don't know...) other than that can do pretty much any time!

tortoise · 18/08/2006 14:58

I can't do tuesday or thursdays because DD1 has pre-school.Mondays are usually my best day!
Hi twocatsonthebed.

intergalacticwalrus · 18/08/2006 14:58

Are your antenatal classes at the RUH? I only live about 2 mins walk from the Princess Anne Wing.

OP posts:
twocatsonthebed · 18/08/2006 15:04

No they're not, even though that's where - if all goes to plan - that's where I'll be giving birth. They're in sunny Shepton Mallet!

yeahinaminute · 18/08/2006 15:07

Welcome twocats!!

intergalacticwalrus · 18/08/2006 15:10

Bum, I was going to suggest a nice cup of stewed tea in the lovely RUH coffee bar! Never mind. Hope your classes are useful. DP moaned about going to them when we went, but I think he was secretly quite interested.

OP posts:
yeahinaminute · 18/08/2006 15:13

Good God I'd forgotten how foul the tea can be at the RUH ... haven't you still got the cafe in Weston by the Post Office?? they used to do lovely breakfasts
IGW - I'm going to be in the Old Crown on Sunday afternoon from about 3 (kids welcome)at a party - think you could manage a shandy??

intergalacticwalrus · 18/08/2006 15:15

We are going over to my Mum's on Sunday. Arse.

Haven't been to the Old Crown for yonks. I was still a stude I think.

OP posts:
yeahinaminute · 18/08/2006 15:18
