It's going to make me sound like a proper Billy No Mates, but I am due to have baby no 2 in 3 weeks, and I am looking for some mums to meet up with to prevent me climbing up the walls and going insane. I have a 20 month old DS, who is a bit mental, but quite lovely when you get to know him! I'm happy to travel a bit when I have recovered from my CS. Anyone up for it?

Lawlass - I think we probably do but if we don't WHY!!
How old are your LO's??

OK Some clues - DD is 3.5 she has an irish name, She goes to pre-school in M'field
I have been known to have a glass (or several !!} in the Catherine Wheel
Probably don't "mix" with the other mums in M'field as much as I should coz of working etc
My husband is very tall

Tantalising eh - over to you !!!

Lawlass · 18/08/2006 21:29

Yeahinaminute - I do know you, your daughter's name starts with R - or I'm going mad (already wondered if it was you before last post).

My kids have Irish names too - ds is 3.3 and dd almost 2n husband Irish as well. That should probably give it away.

Walrus- sorry for hijacking your thread! Really hope we can all meet up.

yeahinaminute · 19/08/2006 11:42

I know EXACTLY who you are !!

Are you off to the village day this afternoon ??

With - O and A !!

And Yes I am S with R !!

See you soon - and a meet up with the Walrus would be good - Byee

Hi Guys

Hope you dont mind me gatecrashing! I'm in Bath too, living in Fairfield Park. I'm 33 and have a DS aged 10 months and as I didnt manage any ante-natal classes (Ds decided to put in an early appearance) & all the post-natal ones were cancelled I never got the chance to meet any mums in my area, so if you do meet up locally, please give me a shout!

mollyollymummy · 02/09/2006 10:35

Hi, can I come too??? I've recently moved from Colerne to Staverton but I'm always in Bath. I have 5 children 18,16,11,9 and I have DD who is 11 months, it would be great to meet up with other mums with baby of similar age.

Lawlass · 12/09/2006 09:08

Intergalactic - have you had your baby yet and if so, how did it go? Hope everything is OK.

Shall we arrange something for a Friday in October?

coni336 · 04/10/2006 20:26

cath28 · 23/10/2006 11:14

wondering if you have all arranged a meet yet? i live in larkhall am a single mum to dd almost 4 and baby number 2 on the way due in march. i don't know ANY single parents and everyone i am meeting is blissfully happy with their wonderful perfect lives so i'm not feeling bitter (me?) but it would be nice to meet some different people for a change! MichMoo16 i'm really near you it would be great to meet up. the Egg is really nice, i can do friday mornings if anyone is still up for it?

intergalacticwerewolf · 23/10/2006 11:28

Hello,
Ok, lets meet up one Friday in Bath.

Any particular Friday? I can't do the next 2.

Can it be somewhere that I can fit a double buggy in, and where DS1 can ruin around like a blue arsed fly? He doesn;t take kindly to being hemmed in his pushchair

Luckymetwins · 23/10/2006 14:14

I'm up for meeting up and can get to Bath, also have double buggy and 2 DS that don't like being kept in the buggy (unless they are eating ) not sure where to meet though?

twocatsonthebed · 23/10/2006 15:24

Would love to join in one friday, but as I am currently 38 weeks gone, it may not be for a few weeks....

Drusilla · 23/10/2006 15:35

Itchbehindyou · 23/10/2006 22:10

I'd love to meet some of you though.I will have get the train in from Castle Cary though.

tortUREoisechamber · 23/10/2006 22:15

(tortoise btw!)

pesha · 23/10/2006 23:12

Hello just seen this, didnt know there was anyone this close to me!! Im in yeovil and my dp plays football for cary so would definitely be interested in a meet up at some point

tortUREoisechamber · 23/10/2006 23:16

pesha I would be happy to come to Yeovil. Is only about 10 mins on the train. Have done it a few times now with my 4 dc.

twocatsonthebed · 23/10/2006 23:22

Itchbehindyou/tortoise - I'm in Shepton - so can easily take you up to Bath if a day suits, or if not would love to do a more local Yeovil/Cary meet up!

tortUREoisechamber · 23/10/2006 23:28

Thanks twocatsonthebed. If a few of are in yeovil area that would be easier for me. Train is quick and cheap(when they don't ask for my ticket!)

pesha · 23/10/2006 23:33

Well id be happy to drive to cary or shepton or anywhere not too far if thats easier or if it was a sat i might be coming to cary to watch dp play football anyway (not that i ever have done but im determined to do so soon!)

tortUREoisechamber · 23/10/2006 23:35

Im often in Cary park with my 4 dc on a saturday when football is on!

pesha · 23/10/2006 23:41

That could be a good idea then, we came to the park a couple of times in the summer when he was playing cricket and we will go to football soon but at mo im 14 wks pg and morning sickness has been really bad so i just cant be bothered! Getting better though so wont be long, probably next time they're playing at home.

tortUREoisechamber · 23/10/2006 23:43

I had quite bad morning sickness with the dd's!
My email is [email protected] if you want to let me know when you would be in Cary.

tortUREoisechamber · 23/10/2006 23:44

Must get to bed now!
