Last time I said I would come, most of the other people dropped out!

I will have to think about this one. Got a possible trip to Tunis planned for Easter and am arranging huge NYE celebrations for next year in a Scottish castle with a group of friends, which will cost an arm and a leg.

July is also exam time for dd.

I know I know, don't make me feel guilty! If anything changes I'll let you know but I have a couple of issues:

Trains from here to Liverpool are shite.
Could drive up and combine with a visit to in-laws but that's a 4 hour drive and early July could be fraught with exams plus it's dd's birthday on 24th so we traditionally visit in-laws then, after schools break up. Can't really do 2 visits in one month.

My issues are DH's birthday on the 6th July and convincing him that it is a good ildea to travel over 200 miles to meet a bunch of people off of 't'internet.

If you made the date towards the end of the month I might stand a chance of being able to come....otherwise I shall have to stand on the sidelines and flick V's at you all

I'll mark my place and observe from the sidelines for now. 'Tis only a short train journey for me but I'll probably do what Custardo said and bottle it at the last minute

i have been looking at restaurants on bond street and the lebanese and leaf dont sell alcohol WTAF

got to be sensible - dont want to go somewhere with no atmosphere ( the ASK restaurant where i live is dire) equally i have to think of train and lodgings on top -

Leaf def do serve alcohol. I have bought drinks there. Have been to wedding reception there too, there's big bar upstairs!
