The Premier Inn at Liverpool One is showing as having rooms at £29 for the big night. It's on Hanover Street. It has been a while since I was out in Liverpool but I would say that is staggering walking distance from Leaf - at least to get there. Would anyone local agree? Or care to suggest somewhere else?

Liverpool One is easily walkable to/from Leaf. Here are the some of the nearest hotels.

If a few of you are travelling together and already know each other, then you might want to consider renting a city apartment for the night, it'd probably work out cheaper.

Think that hotel is about a ten min walk away from bold st (for me, in heels)

Yay for 26th I will def be back from holiday then. I shall work hard on making soon to arrive boychild take expressed bottle feeds so I can leave DH with children and get very drunk! Hurrah

That sounds great. Will have to find out if the night bus still stops near my parents' house and whether I can stay there nightbus probably has an upper age limit which I breached many years ago but I don't care

I've stayed in the YHA hostel by the docks, it was basic but did the job. Cost us about £26 each for four of us. The rooms sleep 6 (3 loys of bunkbeds) so we did have two other women in with us but they were ok apart from the one who took her apple juice to bed with her thinking we were going to pilfer it

I might stay over too, taxi would be ridiculous (£50+) to get back.

Ooh, I might stay over too if I can make it, dependent on costs.
