Christmas Meet Up for all the Gin Hags (and Wine Witches and Vodka Vixens)

Righto, we're at that time of the year again where a Christmas Piss Up in London Town is needed. I propose a date a few weeks before so as many as possible can join in - how about Saturday 23rd November.

This has only been mooted last night, so I've not even got a venue as yet, but I have some ideas. I will, of course and usual, try to make it an easily get-to-able-near-a-traveldodgy place so that those that come into London can take advantage of cheapy rooms in advance.

So...please can y'all start putting names down so I have an idea of numbers initially and I'll get cracking with a venue in the next week or so. Further down the line I'll put the usual FB Group together (for those who are both on FB and happy to join) - I won't be posting the venue on MN as I'd prefer the hairy of hand not to know. Those not on FB I'll chat via PM near the time.

There's also a National Express coach from Stansted that comes via Finchley Road that might be just as cheap / quick. I will google at work tomorrow if you want (old slow iPad here = very annoying googling experience)

Jubilee line from Stratford would get you straight to the venue too if the timing worked out that way.

Maryz - my DH doesn't know Mnet even exists and will simply be told that I am having a night out in town with girlfriends. Mind, I can get home in 25 minutes - and nothing has ever stopped him doing what he wants . Doubt I could manage it for a whole weekend though.

I am not yet sure how exactly to break it to DH that we might (hopefully) have a random stranger from t'internet staying for the weekend.

However he is lovely, house trained and wrapped around my finger a little bit so I will just have to start my campaign. At least he knows MN exists.... that's a starting point!

Oh no you are correct Bella I am just assuming that it is going to be in the Southwark / London Bridge / Waterloo type of area again and therefore Jubilee-line-accessible - we are around Swiss Cottage so at a pinch I can do the dreaded Northern Line too.

DH doesn't get a say mind me trotting off to London. He knows I will go anyway
