Christmas Meet Up for all the Gin Hags (and Wine Witches and Vodka Vixens)

Righto, we're at that time of the year again where a Christmas Piss Up in London Town is needed. I propose a date a few weeks before so as many as possible can join in - how about Saturday 23rd November.

This has only been mooted last night, so I've not even got a venue as yet, but I have some ideas. I will, of course and usual, try to make it an easily get-to-able-near-a-traveldodgy place so that those that come into London can take advantage of cheapy rooms in advance.

So...please can y'all start putting names down so I have an idea of numbers initially and I'll get cracking with a venue in the next week or so. Further down the line I'll put the usual FB Group together (for those who are both on FB and happy to join) - I won't be posting the venue on MN as I'd prefer the hairy of hand not to know. Those not on FB I'll chat via PM near the time.

It is a bloody good deal. Have a look, you may be surprised. My train gets in just gone midday if you want to meet at the station. I have then got to find Blondes (my room mate), so may have to take a tube to hook up with her but you are most welcome to come with us.

Heps claims to not be glam but I feel compelled to point out that her version of "jeans" involves skinny jeans, fancy shoes and a lovely spangly top. Makeup. Jewellery even.

My version of jeans OTOH is jeans, too big and too tight at the same time, sloppy sweatshirt, manky old trainers and a scraped back ponytail. So I usually default to boring work clothes for nights out. Not at all glam but at least boringly presentable.

The first time I met hep she took me to sip champagne in Selfridges and try on ridiculously expensive perfume.

I think this proves 'glam'.

The previously-posted links to the Facebook page are now saying "can't find that" - do I need to be added?

I'm feeling a bit down on it because my purse got nicked at the last one - but I was very well looked after by BB and catinboots and it was my fault really for leaving my bag unattended while I went outside with the smokers (I don't even smoke!).

So it's not rational at all.

Maybe I need to come to another one to overwrite it with a better memory (I was having a lovely time up til that point :) )
