Christmas Meet Up for all the Gin Hags (and Wine Witches and Vodka Vixens)

Righto, we're at that time of the year again where a Christmas Piss Up in London Town is needed. I propose a date a few weeks before so as many as possible can join in - how about Saturday 23rd November.

This has only been mooted last night, so I've not even got a venue as yet, but I have some ideas. I will, of course and usual, try to make it an easily get-to-able-near-a-traveldodgy place so that those that come into London can take advantage of cheapy rooms in advance.

So...please can y'all start putting names down so I have an idea of numbers initially and I'll get cracking with a venue in the next week or so. Further down the line I'll put the usual FB Group together (for those who are both on FB and happy to join) - I won't be posting the venue on MN as I'd prefer the hairy of hand not to know. Those not on FB I'll chat via PM near the time.

I am not on facebook so when the venue is decided could I have a PM.

I have woken up this morning with a rotten cold, sore throat, achy muscles and the shivers and I am going on holiday tomorrow. Bloody typical.

I should be packing but am on the sofa wrapped up in a blanket, watching Alan Partridge and feeling sorry for myself.

Have also just wasted DS' nap time by reading all of the 300-odd posts since I was last on. That'll teach me to go out....

I don't know Dances, I've only been to the lunchtime one this May - I'm afraid I can't remember everyone who was there ; and had to duck out of the evening one at the end of June at the last minute

Gav, are you going to warmer climes? Hope you feel better soon, both of my boys have been full of it, DS1 more so. He has been shocking.

I missed the afternoon one FruOla, so we shall have to meet this time (relieved not to have met and completely forgotten someone)

yes indeedy, a venue so we can book rooms and tickets early - as soon as travel dodgy cotton onto the fact that the rooms are selling they put up the proce - the bastards.

however, having organised these things before, i understand its not all that easy

have we decided what dodgy travel lodge we are staying in, or the same as last time?
