Yorkiegirl · 11/06/2006 17:25

can you link it please!

OP posts:
hulababy · 11/06/2006 17:32

Of course.

\link{http://www.spa1877.com/\Spa 1877}

and \link{http://www.spa1877.com/treatment.php?id=92\this} is the Spa Experience. 3 hours in the different experiences. Ladies only on Saturdays.

Looks like price may have gone up a little, now £23 for the three hours.

And you can now book online. I have just registered to check it all out.

roisin · 11/06/2006 18:19

Me Grin I'd love to! I need to check with dh first that he'll have the kids for the weekend - but it would be a lovely way to prepare for the autumn term (We're back on Mon 4th)

I'll share hotel room with anyone who wants.

Yorkiegirl · 11/06/2006 21:22

anyone else?
I found rooms in the Novotel for £39 per person.

OP posts:
hulababy · 11/06/2006 21:23

Novotol is very central, just behind the Winter Gardens.

Piccalilli · 11/06/2006 21:26

Ooooh me please! Although...it's a bit close to dh's birthday so will have to check with him. I can taxi it home but can recommend the Novotel - in fact I stayed there on my wedding night.

hulababy · 11/06/2006 21:28

Just so everyone knows, there will be some other people coming too - from MO. The spa meets in Sheffield have always been mixed MN/MO meets (some on both) and have worked well.

Gingerbear · 11/06/2006 21:28

Me, tis my birthday in Septemeber too. Want to stay over too.

hulababy · 11/06/2006 21:39

Anyone going for treatments? In the 3 hour slot you can fit in six 1877 scrubs. Wouldn't be anough time for people to have wraps as well though. But there are the other treatments available such as massages, manicures, pedicure, facials, etc.

The scrub was very nice and I would like to have it again. However I did it last time so willing to step aside to allow others the chance.

Gingerbear · 11/06/2006 21:50

Facial for me I think.

hulababy · 11/06/2006 21:51

Here are some of the shorter treatments available. have selected ones of 30 minutes or less for now. Many of these are paid for ON TOP OF the spa cost of £23 (I think). You can choose to have these in the 3 hour spa slot, or before hand if they can fit you in.

Elemis Deep Tissue Back Massage (30mins) £30.00
Elemis Exotic Lime and Ginger Salt Glow (30mins) £35.00
Elemis ‘Taster’ Facial (30mins) £25.00
Indian Head Massage (30mins) £30.00
Manicure, File and varnish. (30mins) £15.00
NEW Hopi Ear Candle (30mins) £35.00
Pedicure, File and varnish. (30mins) £15.00
St. Tropez Ultimate Air Spray Tan, One Aplication: Two Aplication: (30mins) £25.00 or (30mins) £30.00
Swedish Back,Neck and Shoulder Massage (30mins) £25.00
‘The Original 1877 Scrub’ (15mins + 3 hour spa time) £30.00 - thios £30 includes the Spa cost

There are other longer treatments available. See the website for details. You also need to check if you can do the spa experience following the treat, ent. For example, you can't go in after a wax.

hulababy · 11/06/2006 21:54

I am going to provisionally book the spa experience for 10 people tomorrow. If anyone is definite on their treatment choice plase let me know asap - on here, or e-mail claire(dot)king(at)btinternet.com or test if you have number.

If having anything but the scrub, I need to know what time you'd prefer it. The treatments are paid for on top of the spa cost, so you can have the full 3 hours PLUS the treatment. If doing this would probably be best to have treatmennt beofrew the spa time starts (which will be 3 o'clock), if you can get there earlier.

hulababy · 12/06/2006 08:07

BUMP

hulababy · 12/06/2006 08:11

GB - this type of facial: Elemis ‘Taster’ Facial (30mins) £25.00 What time would you prefer it. Spa experience being booked for 3-6pm. You could do 2:30pm and then full spa, or 3pm and then join us in afterwards.

Gingerbear · 12/06/2006 08:12

Why aren't you packing Hula? Grin I was going to ring and book myself as I thought that you would be too busy! But I want the elemis taster facial at 2pm _ will get there early. Shall I ring myself? I don't mind.

hulababy · 12/06/2006 08:16

hulababy · 12/06/2006 09:07

Have also text/emailed callielou and Wedhiesmum as they have been with us before.

Looks like my prov booking may need to be for a few more!

MadameButterfly · 12/06/2006 09:12

I would have love to join you, but we are using our caravan in Devon one last time before DD starts school and don't get back until the Sunday.
:(:(:(

hulababy · 12/06/2006 09:13

Sorry ou can't make it MB.

Does DD start school in September then?

MadameButterfly · 12/06/2006 09:33

Hi Hula,

Yes, she starts in September. She will just be 4 at the start of August.

We are going to try and get to the Nottingham Castle meet in August.

hulababy · 12/06/2006 09:50

I couldn't remember her birthday and couldn't quite remember how closer in age she was to DD. DD also starts in September, but she'll be a bit older at 4y5m. If she had been in state ed she wouldn't have started till January though. She is very excited; is your DD?

Hope you manage to make the castle meet.
