My little boy is due 13th July, and I'd love to meet some other mums who live close by. I'm a Kiwi and suddenly my family seems very far away!

Hi there ladies - is this thread for older moms only?
how old is older actually?
(have just realised that i probably qualify as an older mum these days at 28! )

Im in E2 as well and always up for a coffee...

KiwiKat · 16/09/2006 22:07

I'm 40, and the others here are both older and slightly younger than that. I always thought of 'older' as being 35+, but if you feel like an older mum, than you're very welcome. And being in E2 and up for coffee makes you even more so!

Even more welcome, I mean, not even older!

I'm certainly an older mum, but not new! I have 10yo ds and twins ds & dd nearly 3! I am 45 and my dh 53 and we are knackered!

Good luck (sorry, no help then)? and sorry again not in london, in notts!

Mozzarella, I'm meeting Nixnoo next week, if you fancy it. Any other East London mums are more than welcome, too.

hello i'm an isle of dogs mum so not too far away, and very mobile on my pushbike. have a 14 m.o. DS. currently work 3 days a week but am leaving work in late december to be a sahm. so i'm looking for some things to do and people to meet. I guess i'm a slightly older mum at 33 but these days that not that old. also no family support around as i'm an aussie mum, with aussie DH.

KiwiKat · 02/11/2006 14:57

Hi Veggiemum, I have some lovely friends in E14, although they don't know each other, all mothers of babies aged 4 or 5 months. I've been thinking of getting together with them for a coffee so that they could meet. Perhaps you'd like to join us?

(OTish: Kiwikat, are you planning on coming to the drinks on Monday?)

KiwiKat · 03/11/2006 11:17

Only if you don't run out on me again! Although I guess it would help if I turned up a little earlier ... Will try to be there earlier this time.

I'm hoping to last a little while this time. I think I was horribly jetlagged last time.

Anyway, our host is promising to a) appear this time, and b) get v drunk!

NotQuiteCockney · 03/11/2006 11:19

We can drag along other MNers if they want to come, I'm sure ...

KiwiKat · 03/11/2006 11:29

Should we put out an invitation under Meet-ups? I'll let you do it, if you think it's a good idea.

Hmm, I'd rather people just emailed me for details? [email protected]. Meet is Monday evening in a pub in E3.
