My little boy is due 13th July, and I'd love to meet some other mums who live close by. I'm a Kiwi and suddenly my family seems very far away!

I'm not free Thurs 29th either, but hopefully we can sort out another date. I haven't changed my email address. It's bergmanndotgraingeratbtinternetdotcom.
Good luck KiwiKate! Look forward to meeting you and your baby. If I have mine at 37wks it'll be born 12 July.

dinosaure · 22/06/2006 13:43

No worries.

KiwiKat · 22/06/2006 14:21

Induction is at the Royal London, and am planning to BF, all going well. Have also had some great advice from other mums on this site who've been through inductions due to Cholostastis. MN is a Godsend! Thanks for all your good wishes. Will be in touch as soon as I have news. Take care. x

I can do Thurs. but looks like no one else can?

Look forward to your announcement Kiwi

NotQuiteCockney · 22/06/2006 14:39

The Royal London has some good bf support people. Mostly Jo and Joy, I think? Although lots of the postnatal midwives are crap (as is usual, I hear).

KiwiKat · 21/07/2006 19:17

Hello everyone, how are you all coping with this heat? Wondered whether anyone was free to meet up some time over a nice cold drink. Is your LO here yet, Arabica? Max is four weeks old tomorrow, can't believe it's gone so quickly.

kiwikat,

I a, a first time mum too, my son was born 5 july, so pretty close to yours!
I am in Stoke Newington if you fancy getting together.
congrats by the way!

Arabica · 24/07/2006 01:44

Hi Nixnoo, am also in Stokey. Having C-section 27/7 (Thursday). Would be free to meet up maybe a couple of weeks after, all being well!
Let's stay in touch...

nixnoo · 24/07/2006 04:34

sounds good! are you on the due in July amtenatal thread?

good luck for thurs!

Arabica · 24/07/2006 09:20

No I was due August 2, but having C-section at 39 +1 at the Homerton. Where did you have your baby?

nixnoo · 24/07/2006 10:09

also Homerton....
had a water birth which was great.
We have a July babies post natal thread too, if you want to join, but you probably would prefer to stick with the ladies you know!
You must be so excited! only 3 more sleeps till you meet LO!

goldenoldie · 24/07/2006 21:09

Arabica - thinking of you. Good luck for Thursday.

Arabica · 25/07/2006 00:21

Actually am somewhere between excitement, paranoia and relief that it's all going to be over v shortly. Feel like have been pg for at least 5 years.

KiwiKat · 25/07/2006 10:48

Good luck Arabica. My DS was due in July, but I had an emergency cs in June, not at all as planned - funny how these things work out! Hope yours goes well.

Looks like there are a few of us in the area - Nixnoo, Goldenoldie, Arabica, Dinosaure, Bundle, NotQuiteCockney, for starters. Will be great if we could get together in the next little while, depending on how our babies and bodies are doing. Is Stoke the most central location for everyone?

Hi there

just found this thread as I'm looking to meet some folk in east london too. I live in walthamstow - my babe's a bit older (9 months) but am up for coffee and chats if you guys are still on for that?

Thank G the heat's calmed a bit hey. Let me know what you think. By the way I'm 34 is that old enough? xx

KiwiKat · 04/08/2006 15:56

Hi Mozarella, would love to meet up with you some time. I'm in Bethnal Green and Swizz (she has a 9 week old DS) is in Hackney but I'm not sure where the others are. Perhaps the three of us could meet up in Hackney, since it's more or less in the middle?

KiwiKat · 07/08/2006 14:34

Bit of a problem getting my wee boy to go to sleep. Can't bear to hear him cry - I'm so much softer than I thought I'd be!

KiwiKat · 09/08/2006 18:17

Yay! They're planning a Christmas meetup in London some time in November - although they're still arguing where, when etc. Any of you keen to come? Let's show them how East End girls party!

OP posts:
mozarellamamma · 16/08/2006 10:24

Yes let's. Oh don't do the crying thing we've had a long think and chat about it plus lots of reading and it sucks. Interesting data about future behavioural issues and potential links to ADHD etc. Go with your gut I say. {smile} where's the london meet up link thing then? Mx

KiwiKat · 18/08/2006 00:36

The Mumsnet Xmas meetup is on 18th NOVEMBER 8PM at Ruby (23 Orchard Street, London W1). Thread is here for details, and to add your names to the list. Sounds like it will be a lot of fun.

KiwiKat, if you are in B.Green, you ought to check out the John Smith Centre in Stepney, just down Cambridge Heath Road, a little ways away from Sainsburys. It is a good place to meet other mums, and let the babs play etc. It is for under 5's, and they have a special baby session too. Very nice space. Course there is the M.of Childhood to re-open in the autumn, so that should help out too. Hang out around the sandpit on the top floor and there will be lots of other mums there!
(I'm in W/chapel btw, but I am slightly out of the circuit 'cos I am working full time now.
All the best.

KiwiKat · 18/08/2006 22:46

Thanks for the suggestion, JS, I'll check that out.
