Anyone fancy a Cheltenham meet-up?

Just been talking to a few MNers today about a meetup (you know who you are!). Would anyone fancy a few drinks and a meal one night in Cheltenham, and afterwards dancing round our handbags in the Prom Club?

(I am joking about the Prom Club Grin)

Blossoms is lovely - it's a really good chinese.

I went out out in Gloucester once (eastgate street) - SCARY. Like Kavos.

Eastgate Street's always been a bit like that, young, clubby and scary. There used to be some great pubs and venues in Gloucester, I'm not sure where I'd go now.

21 Club's ok, I'm a bit short for it though, and my make-up's usually fallen off by the time I reach there.

Ha ha I once shouted at a random man in the prim club telling g him to stop letching at me and did I look like normal prom club fodder. It turned out to be dh's sergeant who was trying to say hello Blush
I don't mind glos but will mean buses etc. I have a camper van maybe we could set it up in quays car park it sleeps four. We could have a lovely cuppa in the morning. Ha ha ha

Sounds great! (Sorry, I lost this thread for a while...)

Yep, count me in as long as it's not dancing round our handbags in some club or other...

I think dinner first and then a few naice bars, and then if we want to behave disgracefully dance we can decide on the night.

Anyone got any suggestions for somewhere to eat? What does everyone like? I am a gannet and eat anything.

The Vinings pub does Thai food
A Turkish restaurant near where the old cinema was (no idea if its still there).

Can I be an awkward fucker as well?

I have got to be in london the friday before and the monday after the 9th and was thinking of staying at my aunt's in London to save stupid travel arrangements. Would it be really awkward to move the date at this stage? What about the week after? Then ledkr and rugbychick could come as well. What does everyone think? Or does this scupper other people's plans?

Let's all go to the Montpellier wine bar and act like PONCES!

I'm fine with moving the date, but can't do the 16th I'm afraid, as it's something important, ds related. Will it still be race week then?
Btw, all places suggested by Pat sound great, I only know Bar and Wok and vinings and they're both really nice. Anywhere with big tables and booze!

Report
Galena · 19/02/2013 12:52

The festival is 12th-15th, so we might not want to do the 16th... I can't do the week after that (23rd) as I'm away, or the 30th or the 6th April... Blush Wow! It almost sounds like I have a social life!

Report
foxache · 19/02/2013 13:09

The year's melting away!

this is probably ridiculous, but would people be free this weekend? Thought I'd ask just in case, though I realise it's unlikely!
