Just to catch your attention.

I think Custy should scrap the original list and we will start again, so unless you say you are going, your name will not appear ok?

July 15th, Saturday, Tiger Tiger, Printworks, Manchester 6.30pm.

As this will have to be booked, please could you make sure you confirm asap. Custy's always organising stuff like this and I think it's very very good of her, so please just say yes or no then we know if it's worth continuing or else me and Custy are just gonna go on the piss together.

I know there will be last minute cancellations, babies ill, parents ill, stuff like that. That's fair enough, but if you can say now without iffing and butting, then please do so.

I'll say that I'm in.

Doing my best but not commiting until the last moment.

Flip · 15/06/2006 13:35

I'm still coming hopefully. I don't see why not after dh has just spent the last week away 'working'! I'm fairly local but will have to get the last train home at about 11.00pm but means I can't get to drunk.

Nemo1977 · 16/06/2006 23:19

keep forgetting to ask but do I need to look smart for this place...and where can we park around there?

spacecadet · 16/06/2006 23:21

i was going to ask that too, i can imagine myself driving round manchestyer all night looking for somewhere to park!

Nemo1977 · 16/06/2006 23:22

Chloe55 · 18/06/2006 20:14

Right, need to get a hotel booked before dh changes his mind about letting me go (we are skint) - anyone who needs a room (hotel reference if you have one) please let me know and I can book it if you like.

dyzzidi · 26/06/2006 13:08

Is this still definately on? I need to confirm babysitter!

Rhubarb · 26/06/2006 13:11

Yes, it is still on. But Custy is no longer able to make it. I cannot guarantee that I can organise this as I have a house move/country move to organise and I will be without regular internet access from the 12th. Therefore we need a volunteer who can book Tiger Tiger (if everyone is happy with this venue). I think that is all the organisation needed? I don't know if Tiger Tiger will need a deposit or not, I guess we'll have to find that out too.

Ledodgyherring · 26/06/2006 13:16

I don't think i'm going to be able to make it now either. I'm really short of money this month and haven't had enough money in previous months to be able to save. I am pissed off as I was really looking forward to it but if I go to the meet up I won't have enough money to do anything for my thirtieth.

Chloe55 · 26/06/2006 23:16

OK, I will offer to book or at least speak to Tiger Tiger if you want. Does anyone mind if I bring my mate (she comes on here from time to time). Can I have an updates list of numbers please and I will look into getting it sorted tomorrow.

I think that's right Chloe55. Can you find out how much it would be for us each? I'll probably go back and sleep over with sis. Do you reckon we'll all need badges like the Southern lot had?

Rhubarb · 27/06/2006 10:38

I have enquired about a preliminary booking - let me double check - is it def for the 16th July at 6.30pm, food included?

I have also requested a discount considering the party will be large and have also asked if we may have the opportunity to be included in the guest list. You don't get if you don't ask.

I will keep you updated.

My mate who is hopefully coming is DrPepper on here - she is new, be nice to her

Chloe55 · 27/06/2006 11:27

They have replied, that was quick! Here was her answer:

Do you mean 22 people to eat in the restaurant? if so then i will send you 2 menu's one which is a set menu, which is £19.95 per person and the other which is a la carte. If you are eating in the restaurant this means you gain free access to the other rooms in the venue after you have eaten and you will not need to go on the guest list. Unfortunately we will not be able to offer any discount as we are already allowing entry into the other rooms, if you need any more information please do not hesistate to contact me, please email me back if you would like to secure your reservation or contact me on 0161 385 8080.

So, she has not mentioned adeposit but I did ask if one was necessary, presumably it is. I will ring her to find out this info - does anybody have any other questions for her. Can you keep this bumped so I can get a definite number if I am to book, thanks.

Chloe55 · 27/06/2006 11:31

Bugger! Have just noticed it is the 15th, not 16th - sure it won't be a problem, I will just change it when I ring. Erm.......are you sure you are happy with me organising this?!

Chloe55 · 27/06/2006 11:52

Right, no deposit needed. They are gonna send a booking form to me for the 15th which I fill in, along with my credit card details. So, if anyone drops out they must let me know or I will be charged £5 a head. If I continue to keep them informed of any changing numbers they will not charge though so that's good.

The table will be booked for 6.45pm - it was either that or 10pm and by that time I will have eaten my own arm off.

Chloe55 · 27/06/2006 12:15

It appears that you have to go with the set grill menu for partys of 8 or more. So, I will book for 22 of us, if we have add-ons please let me know, and also any cancellations. Is everyone happy with this?

dublindee · 27/06/2006 13:31

Cool by me Chloe, but had better check with spacey first as I'm dependant on her for a lift. SPACEY? We still ok for 6.45 on the 15th???

Rhubarb · 27/06/2006 13:33

Absolutely fine Chloe! If I do have to drop out at the last minute then I am happy to refund the fiver you will be charged as I'm sure most of us would be.

Thanks for agreeing to do this!
