Nemo1977 · 18/04/2006 21:42

julez will ask them prob put a link on the liverpool thread.
Also re directions the link to the park has a postcode on it so put it into www.theaa.com and will tell you how to get there from your postcode.

Leave M6 at Junction 33 and head north towards Lancaster. You go through a few sets of lights but only one roundabout, where you take the 3rd main exit (I think the park is signed from here). This is Bowerham Road. Turn left up COulston Road (mini roundabout) and about half a mile along, the round continues round to the left, with a fork to the right. Just past the fork (staying on same road) there is an entrance to the park and a car park to the right. It is £1 for all day and you get that back if you spend it at the cafe. You then walk one of two ways up to the memorial. Easiest place to meet is probably the cafe, or just outside.

Racers · 18/04/2006 21:50

Nemo, good idea about theaa.com - forgot about that and I use it often. Really not got my brain switched on tonight Shock

chocolateshoes · 19/04/2006 13:03

I'll be there with DS (almost 10 months).

Cappucino · 20/04/2006 09:44

is there a time? I might be able to make this

Racers · 20/04/2006 13:10

what time do people want? 11am, 2pm or over lunch? I'm easy as live 10mins away Grin

chocolateshoes I confused you with the swings thing, I realised when I'd logged off. I hadn't known there were baby swings there and had only seen the stuff for bigger kids and then you thought I thought they were for older babies, or something - anyway, I'm sure that clears that up Wink ahem.... Going there later today, and looking forward to trying out the new baby swings Smile

chocolateshoes · 20/04/2006 14:07

Personally I'd rather the afternoon as DS only has one daytime nap (over lunch). So sometime afetr 2 would be great. But as I'm not too far away I completely understand if others would prefer a different time.

No, it ws my misunderstanding Racers! I panicked that I'd been putting DS in swings to early Blush

lucykate · 20/04/2006 18:13

i can do anytime, will take me about 1/2 hour to get there, i'm just off juntion 27 of the m6

OP posts:
northender · 21/04/2006 16:27

I'll come if that's OK with ds (4) and dd 18 months.

FastasleepInTheHellPit · 21/04/2006 18:45

I have no idea about this will have to ask IJ (the train lady!) but afternoon is the only possible time for me with expressing, don't worry though it wouldn't be the end of thw world to miss another meet due to me breastpump!

Rhubarb · 21/04/2006 18:52

Are any of you coming to the Great Northern Meet-up in Manchester in July?

If not, WHY NOT???

FastasleepInHerOwnBed · 21/04/2006 18:54

northender · 22/04/2006 09:05

After all that I remember I'm on a course that day. Just assumed it'd be OK as I don't normally work Thursdays. Am gutted now, ah well next time!

chocolateshoes · 22/04/2006 13:22

Northender - are you a PNE fan by any chance?

northender · 22/04/2006 19:53

Yep, for my sins! However instead of going to Hull to see the boys today we went to Williamson Park to check out the Play area! I'm sure you'll have a great time, perfect for under fives.

chocolateshoes · 23/04/2006 19:18

Good to know there's nother footie fn, Northender! Well I'm a Reading fan so have been to watch a few games at your place - you are our nearest away venue. Good luck in the play offs - hope you come up with us!Grin

Racers · 02/05/2006 22:07

Blimey, just realised this is next week - shall we say morning, then people can have a spot of lunch if they fancy it? 11/11.30?

(cs and northender - another footie fan here though never popular as am a Man United fan!)

gigglinggoblin · 03/05/2006 21:13

ItalianJob · 04/05/2006 09:40

Hello again! FA - it's about 1.5 hours on the train from Liverpool (with one change, usually at Preston). Then it's 1/2 walk from the station to get to the park. I don't mind coming over a bit later with you on the train - would earliest you could get to Lime St be 12?

ItalianJob · 04/05/2006 09:44

FA - train fare about £11 return.

Nemo1977 · 04/05/2006 16:10
