Williamsons PK would be brilliant! I so excited already!!!!!

Hi Ggoblin! Another Lancastrian!

Racers - I've been putting my DS in the baby swings already & he loves it. Am I being bad? Blush

This meet-up is actually going to happen isn't it!!!

PS Racers - you know, we may well have been at same parentcraft class.

lucykate · 18/04/2006 12:59

how soon then?,

weekend or weekday?,

if its the park, do we have to draw straws as to who is going to make lemon drizzle cake for a picnic?, Grin

chocolateshoes · 18/04/2006 13:05

You wouldn't want me to make a cake!!!!

I go back to work 15 May, so pref before then if its to be a week day. Otherwise most weekends are fine. Or during half term (29th May - 2nd June).

JuA · 18/04/2006 13:12

Only just seen this - I live in a village just North of Chorley - a meet up sounds like fun - although it might depend on if I can rope in some help as I haven't been out that far on my own since my twins were born!

Nemo1977 · 18/04/2006 20:28

That park looks fantastic. Ds would be in his element there!!! Am available pretty much anytime.

lilibet · 18/04/2006 20:36

I'm in Wigan and depending on when it is may be interested

chocolateshoes · 18/04/2006 20:40

Well it looks as if there are enough of us interested. Yippee!

Should we go for Williamson's Pk, Lancaster then?

lilibet · 18/04/2006 20:42

Anyone suggested a date yet?

julezboo · 18/04/2006 20:42

Im in Wigan too - got a car so not a problem for travelling, only me and ds so could squeeze another 2 people in my small car if anyone needs. Park looks great ds would love it!

chocolateshoes · 18/04/2006 20:45

I guess we need to work out if weekend or weekday.

gigglinggoblin · 18/04/2006 20:45

dp went to the park today, he says the playground is now finished and is fantastic - there is a roundabout with bikes on, wobbly pirate ship and some other stuff which sounded really good

how old are everyones kids? would people struggle with travelling on a school day? i have 3 boys aged 7, 5 and 1 so can do through day without the older ones or at weekend with all 3 (tho i wont get to natter as much if they are all there, ds3 is far less work than his older brothers!).

lilibet · 18/04/2006 20:45

Where are you julez? I'm Winstanley

Nemo1977 · 18/04/2006 20:48

I have a DS 2.5yrs and DD is 4mths. So anytime is ok for me. If it is a weekday I can get Dh to be based in lancaster that day to give me a lift although it doesnt matter either way as I do have my own car.

chocolateshoes · 18/04/2006 20:49

I can do a school dy if its before 15th May - or would hve to be half-term.

Well done your DP on checking the park out. It is a great place - the promenade plays in summer are brilliant.

julezboo · 18/04/2006 20:52

My ds is 4 on fri but doesnt start school till sept (cant wait!!)

Lilbet - Im in Leigh not far from you!

lilibet · 18/04/2006 20:53

I got married in Leigh last year Grin

julezboo · 18/04/2006 20:53

Used to live in Skem, moved to liverpool - met up with the girls there! Then moved to leigh to get away from a horrible man but i have now go me a good one :)

gigglinggoblin · 18/04/2006 21:00

he wasnt exactly checking it out, just wanted something to do with ds this morning so took him to the butterfly house and noticed the playground while he was there, ds3 is a big fan of playgrounds! :)

have never been to a play there yet, nearly went once but was ill on the day. will probably wait til the kids are old enough to appreciate it and then take them

chocolateshoes · 18/04/2006 21:03

Def worth going & having a picnic. Great fun!

Racers · 18/04/2006 21:22

weekdays before 15 may better for me too as DD starts in creche then (I start work soon after but not immediately Shock)

how does thurs 11th april sound to people?

chocolateshoes, yes, probably at same antenatal groups! maybe some postnatal ones - we shall see! oo also, DD has been in babyswings elsewhere and loved it. I even swung her quite fast and let go! I'm so brave and chilled out Wink

v. excited at prospect of Willy Park meetup Grin

chocolateshoes · 18/04/2006 21:25

Do you mean May Racer? If so, yes that's fine for me & DS

Racers · 18/04/2006 21:25

yeah May sorry d'oh!

Nemo1977 · 18/04/2006 21:28

thurs 11th may sounds good to me.

lucykate · 18/04/2006 21:29

that suits me fine too, i assume you mean the 15th may not april?! Grin

i have ds who's nearly 11mths, and a dd who's 4 and would be bringing them both.
