Next meet up, Tuesday 4th September.
During the day, either Botanic Gardens in Durham or the Slug and Fiddle near the Gala Theatre in Durham City centre.

Now for some random chat.
DS sang a song about bolognaise today. And DD walked some more. But still prefers crawling and using my nipples as handholds on Mount Starbuck.

Im still coming Wed Grin

Indith · 01/03/2013 19:26

Me: I don't know when I'm going to do that with being out tomorrow morning.
DH: but....

juneybean · 01/03/2013 20:08

Grin indith

SPBInDisguise · 01/03/2013 20:12

Who'd have thought going out in the cold at some ridiculous hour of the morning would be so appealing?
Anyone around week before half term? I will be!

juneybean · 01/03/2013 20:31

What date is that? /useless with school dates

KaraStarbuckThrace · 02/03/2013 08:24

Hopefully, SPB! Is that the Good Friday week? Probably could do Tues/Weds that week. Tues would be child free.

OP posts:
SPBInDisguise · 02/03/2013 08:29

Yes, the week beginning 25 March.
Tuesday and Wednesday would also be good - I would have small one only

Indith · 02/03/2013 09:16

I'm a wee bit busy that week Grin.

Dh went rowing anyway for a short outing. He is due back in the next 10 mins so I can race to the hospital for the bf workshop.

MEN.

Humph.

SPBInDisguise · 02/03/2013 10:12

oh yes Confused
What can possibly be more important that meeting me for coffee and cake? New course and future career? Bah, they'll never know if you sneak off Wink

KaraStarbuckThrace · 02/03/2013 12:26

Nah, they won't notice :D We could make a big cardboard cut out of Indith and she could put that in her place while she sneaks out for cake :D

Definitely looking like I could do the 16th for shoppinge without smalls.
I would get the train up from Darlo, need to talk about times etc.

So lemme get this right in my head

Wed 6th - Darlo meet up at Adventure point.

Sat 16th - get Indith some fab new outfits and have lunch in Newcastle.

w/c 25th March - feed the Polar bear cake in Durham.

Was there anything else?

Oh here's this for batshit crazy.

So bfing helper course start delayed as the Trust insisted we have CRB checks done before we started. Only CRB checks are now defunct, and BfN insist that we have to do DBS checks to work with them anyway!! So what was the fecking point of getting us to the do the CRBs!!!!!!

Anyway course started on Thursday, Nicola the trainer from BfN is lovely :)
Only thing is room is tiny for 14+trainer and gets quite stuffy.

Indith, you should have put a concerned face on and asked him if he had life jackets for the children and wouldn't having all of them with him slow down his racing?Grin

16th looks alright for me, will check with dh when he gets back from bloody football.

LillethTheCat · 02/03/2013 14:51

Love that idea Spiffy Grin

Oooh I might be able to make Durham that week too.

Typically I would be able to afford Newcastle on 16th, but I cant make it as not only am I volunteering for Darlington Parkrun that morning, but Im buggering off out on my own to run a 10K race on the sunday 17th so will be looking to have a family day on the 16th.

Indith · 02/03/2013 16:54

Hurrah for shopping!

The lycra clad one will still be rowing as it will be their last chance to have a daytime outing before tideway, possibly around 12pm to start? Is that ok?

SPB you will just have to come to the next village quiz to see me! 22nd March. Put it in your diary. You can cuddle ds2 for me as dh won't be there.

Kara that is mental. DBS checks should be speedy though, I applied for mine on Tuesday and got it in teh post Friday!

SPBInDisguise · 02/03/2013 18:17

What on earth is DBS? I am so out of thec loop now - it's been well over a year since I had my last CRB!
22nd...should be able to do that I think. Let me just check my planner that I created this morning that goes from now until the end of August :o

SPBInDisguise · 02/03/2013 18:23

Right have just checked and the 22nd should be fine :)
Indith and golden, have I ever given you the sales pitch for where I work? Hopefully it should be mentioned in your training, if not let me know but it's got loads of useful stuff for people in your position - research, evidence, data for eg needs assessment. It's all free (NHS). You just have to pay me personally £1,000 to sign up, a snip I'm sure you'll agree Wink. If I haven't already bored you, tell me and I'll PM you.

Indith · 02/03/2013 18:32

sounds great spb. so long as by £1000 you mean cake Grin

SPBInDisguise · 02/03/2013 18:42

TBH if you use it and spread the word I'll buy you cake!

juneybean · 02/03/2013 19:04

What's a DBS? I had a CRB done in November, didnt realise it had changed!

Indith · 02/03/2013 19:40

DBS is just what they call them now, same thing though.

Indith · 02/03/2013 20:03

By the way SPB, PM me more info, I can share with people.

SPBInDisguise · 02/03/2013 20:06

Will do!

VikingLady · 02/03/2013 21:33

We did CRB checks for bf peer support training last month. And we're doing them for child minding . Should we be doing something else?

Kara I think I May know your trainer! If she runs a group in darlington on Tuesdays!

spiffysquiffyspiggy · 03/03/2013 07:45

Yay the 16th has been deemed acceptable. 12 o'clock start fine with me though I may tell dh 9.30 shall we meet at the station if you are all coming by train?

The crb thing is strange. New starters at our place have to have them but if you started work before they were introduced then you don't have to. So I've never been checked or a lot of my colleagues. So I might have a really dodgy history and work would never know. You'd think we all should have been done. then we would have found out about the bloke in one of our other offices before he was arrested

KaraStarbuckThrace · 03/03/2013 14:32

Blimey spiggy!!

Viking, her surname begins with W and she lives near BA, is it the same lady? BTW are you coming to Adventure Point on Wed 6th? Hope so.
