Hello hello! Here I am with good intentions to behave and show up to some meet ups since I utterly failed in 2011! Grin

So we need ideas for daytime meets and of course we must not forget our night time meets Wink

Daytime Ideas
Beamish
Saltwell Park, Gateshead
The Giants Den, Team Valley
Botanic Gardens
Beach (in the summer of course, unless we want airborne children!)

Okay so ideas for January daytime, I think cake is definitely in order so I propose the one that's next to Ebony, the huge place, down some steps, uhh... Slug & Lettuce is it? CAKE!

January night time? Is this something we want to plan? I know we're always poor after Christmas!

Indith - I always get my jeans from next, mainly as they're pretty cheap and have a huge range. I'm also 6 foot tall and their extra long length ones are perfect :)
I bought myself and 14 year old dd some skinnies from primark - they are really good and only £7 or something! I rarely go in there as I usually cba to rummage but I may be converted :)

I'm sure work have got a book going on when #4 will be announced. They keep eyeing me up and asking if I'm feeling ok Grin

I'm not adding to my lot until I have some sleep. After the one good night he was up constantly last night apart from a 2hr gap. At which point the smoke alarm decided that it was the perfect time to announce the battery was running low. Aaaargh.

The new bath arrived today. It is sitting there taunting me as it needs fitting and I am desperate for a bath. Am fed up of showers. But it is HUGE- can lie down and my feet don't even touch the end. Am going to buy some nice bubbles and wine ready for tomorrow. No-one else is allowed to go in before me Grin

naughty Indith Grin

DH has been talking names for a 4th and they are even stranger than #3...

Indith · 28/08/2012 20:10

Oooh that sounds like a good bath. Chuck the children out before you get in otherwise someone will need a poo.

Report
spiffysquiffyspiggy · 28/08/2012 20:19

It is MY bath. No-one else is allowed in. Children can carry on having showers. DH pointed out that as the taps are in the middle and it is big we could have an end each. I'm still not convinced I want to share. Grin

Oh wow - I'd absolutely love a big bath - I'm tall so am always squished up in mine.
No more babies here - 5 is enough and #5 was a huge surprise as I'd just got an implant put in and #4 was only 3 months old!
I know I'll get broody in a year or so though :)

We're still planning 4 Grin so may be a 2013 baby as we plan to start trying at Christmas. May change my mind if DD doesn't start napping though...

Oooh I'm a total bath person! Had to deal with showers at this temp job, wasn't fun!

I only want one baby I think, although who knows what will happen a few years down the line Grin

Head says 3 is hectic and they are all healthy. We can see the light at the end of the tunnel for getting sleep a social life back and having money to spend on something other than nursery (40k so far!!!!!! That would pay off the mortgage) Heart says just one more squishy snuggly baby.... DS1 keeps insisting that we are going to have twins next. That is putting me off quite a bit Grin

3 is plenty in this house.

I never get an uninterrupted bath. The joy of not having a separate loo is that someone always, always needs to come in the bathroom for a poo.

My fantasy bath is a really deep corner bath. I like being able to sit in a bath without slipping down but still be covered in water. Actually I should just have kept my birth pool and installed it in the bathroom. Sadly the bathroom is about the only room in our house that doesn't need work.

I want a bath now but tried to light the stove on Monday and the bloody door handle had rusted stiff. Dh hit it with a hammer to try to make it move and it broke

Spiggy there was a woman on the MW on TV yesterday having number 5 and feeling similar, it was her final one. She said it felt like an end not a beginning. Think she was quite sad at the prospect of no more babies. The MW said aafter the birth that it had been slower than expected and the woman's body language said to her that she hadn't quite been ready to let go of being pregnant.

My squishy one is teething and all fussy and off his feeds. My left breast is about to explode.

I really don't know. I have a self imposed limit of 35 which is fast approaching. Whatever happens, I'm really glad to have 3. I can be happy with 3 where I wouldn't have been with 2. Does that make sense? 4 would be even better though

Maybe that is why T's labour was 2 1/2 hours after the spectacular 20mins of H. I was trying my best to hold onto him Grin

I'll send you T if you want- he is all about boob at the moment. If A doesn't want it he certainly will!

Well I'm already having a 2013 baby (touch wood; anomaly scan in 10 days!) but you'd need to get a move on Juney if my 'leave' were to overlap with yours!

I can't think about BFing or tiny babies too much or my boobs start aching. V annoying! I'd forgotten how strong the urge is.

We have a big bath - the previous owners were also my height and bought it specially. It was certainly a selling point for us...! Of course I hate baths when PG as I overheat too easily.

Fingers crossed for the anomaly scan. Are you going to take the opportunity to find out the sex or going for a surprise?

It must be nearly time for Frozen's baby isn't it?

UmmOfUmbridge · 29/08/2012 10:04

Leggy what do you lecture in?
Hope the anomaly scan goes well.. It's moments like that when I miss (fleetingly) being pregnant... Are you planning on finding out the sex? I couldn't help finding out - far too nosy!!

Weather is crap today :( had a beautiful day at Herrington park yesterday with my youngest 4 and a friend. I've never been but will definitely go again.
14 year old dd has gone to London with her Dad today to see the Harry Potter exhibition. She'll love if but I miss her, she's fab company :(

Makes perfect sense Spiggy, there iss no way I could have stopped at 2. A small part of me would like one more but it is more about squishing a baby again, it isn't a strong urge and feeling the family isn't complete like when I wanted 3 and I am more than happy to be heading towards older children, career and opening new doors.

Leggy hope the scan goes well!

Yes where is Frozen? Hope all going well for her.

Umbridge I'm jealous of your dd! I'd love to go to Harry Potter!

It is stuff like that I look forward to with the children, doing stuff with them rather than for them.

I'm looking forward to when they are a bit older and they start to be company. I'm not really cut out for babies.

I always to feel so ill before my scans through nerves but the sonographer always remembers me and tells me that everything is ok as soon as possible so I can relax. When I went for my first scan with DS1 she remembered that she's scanned me 12 weeks before to confirm a mc. She gave me loads of extra photos as a present as she was happy to give me good news that time round. Lovely, lovely lady.
