Hello hello! Here I am with good intentions to behave and show up to some meet ups since I utterly failed in 2011! Grin

So we need ideas for daytime meets and of course we must not forget our night time meets Wink

Daytime Ideas
Beamish
Saltwell Park, Gateshead
The Giants Den, Team Valley
Botanic Gardens
Beach (in the summer of course, unless we want airborne children!)

Okay so ideas for January daytime, I think cake is definitely in order so I propose the one that's next to Ebony, the huge place, down some steps, uhh... Slug & Lettuce is it? CAKE!

January night time? Is this something we want to plan? I know we're always poor after Christmas!

Oh by the way does anyone want a lush bubble bath bar or slightly bashed about bath bomb for the dcs? Went to see a friend yesterday who works there and anything damaged, seasonal or out of date for sale gets given to the employees so she has more lush products in her house than in the shop and we came away with a huge bag, no way can I use it all! Bath bombs a bit broken as dd insisted on carrying the bag Grin.

spiffysquiffyspiggy · 14/05/2012 12:59

Hope that Tues goes as well as it can do Viking. Give baby V lots of cuddles and remember that you still have a small piece of your Dad in her hopefully it isn't the love of trainspotting

I'll take some Lush stuff! Used to spend loads in there but it feels like a frivolous luxury nowadays with 3 kids. Do you think A could have a word with T tomorrow? His favourite word at the moment is "up" which covers climbing (see photo on FB with his sat on the back of the sofa- his new favourite place) and getting up out of bed at stupid o'clock in the morning.

I've just realised that T's birthday is on Sun Shock This time last year I was very fat and very fed up Grin

Indith · 14/05/2012 13:06

What! No way! Really? Flipping heck!

StealthPolarBear · 14/05/2012 15:43

That has gone fast! Though I saw Indith being shock and put 2 and 2 together to make 5...
See you all in vennels, did we say 10?

spiffysquiffyspiggy · 14/05/2012 16:32

Grin Still nothing to report on that front. BFN on Sat which was 7 days late so am guessing it is that my cycle has stopped again. I am overanalysing every twinge and counting loo visits (first symptom has always been an inability to go through the night without needing a wee) It was just it happening in May that made me particularly nervous. I could do without 3 babies with Jan/Dec birthdays.

I'll be there 10:30ish as it will take at least that long by the time I've wrangled them into the car, got to park and ride, got them on the bus, got them off the bus and walked to Vennels.

StealthPolarBear · 14/05/2012 16:42

Can you park on old elvet? Then no need for bus?

KaraStarbuckThrace · 14/05/2012 20:35

I won't turn down any lush stuff!

I should be there for 10ish, got an errand or 2 to run before I head to Durham. Am going to be lazy and park in Prince Bishops.

juneybean · 14/05/2012 21:14

I'm always lazy and park in Prince Bishops Grin

Hope they park your car for you and hoover it out for the price you pay!!
juney, will you bring the picture of the house you've put an offer in? (or will that jinx it?) How's it all going?

juneybean · 14/05/2012 21:53

I didn't get a picture :( yourmove didn't give me anything like that! They rejected the 50k offer today but I've not put in a new offer yet! Been to see a 2bed flat in Gateshead today which is on at 59,950 but needs a good old lick of paint so I might be totally cheeky and offer them 50k too haha

I don't think my surname is terribly common so it's a bit weird to often see threads with my surname in the title Confused

StealthPolarBear · 15/05/2012 00:27

Umm are you called nobdie?

juneybean · 15/05/2012 00:28

No, although wouldn't that be interesting! It's a make of paint apparently!

StealthPolarBear · 15/05/2012 00:31

juneybean · 15/05/2012 00:31

All clear- DC4 will not be arriving at Christmas Grin Big sigh of relief. No objections to another baby but timing would not have been the best I want some sleep. Now where's that bottle of wine....

Indith · 17/05/2012 19:44

:)

spiffysquiffyspiggy · 17/05/2012 19:47

Interesting that DH didn't cry and run away at the prospect though

KaraStarbuckThrace · 17/05/2012 20:22

Grin @ Spiffy

Juney - have just sent you a message on FB. Don't want to say anymore on here but wanted to make sure you get it. FB keeps doing weird things with messages.

juneybean · 17/05/2012 21:45

Yay Spiggy Grin

Have answered you Kara :)

Rats! The CM I had lined up for when I start the degree has decided to retire. Now I know this isn't a disaster as I've loads of time and only had her sorted as I see her at school but she would have been perfect, walking distance from us, 5 min walk to school or nursery :(.

spiffysquiffyspiggy · 18/05/2012 14:03

Bum. Mind you her retiring creates a need in the area so by next year someone will hopefully open up. Or she might decide that retirement is over-rated and come back (like one of my team who is 70 this year!)

stickyLFDTfingers · 19/05/2012 15:10

hiya thought I'd pop in and say hello! Hope you're all well (well I know Indith is cos I saw her, and her lovely youngest DC!).

Indith · 19/05/2012 16:20

Hello SLF (she is mad by the way, when she says she saw me she means she saw me near my house when she was out for a run. A bloody long run.)

Ds2 just fed so dh gone to the park with all the children because it isn't actually raining. I should be cleaning but just popped on here and actually I think I'm going to head out for a run too, my head needs clearing more than the cleaning needs doing.

stickyLFDTfingers · 21/05/2012 23:23

Excellent, always the right choice I find Indith - the tidying just gets untidied again within minutes, but they can't take the running away from you... (but then I am mad Wink)
