Hello hello! Here I am with good intentions to behave and show up to some meet ups since I utterly failed in 2011! Grin

So we need ideas for daytime meets and of course we must not forget our night time meets Wink

Daytime Ideas
Beamish
Saltwell Park, Gateshead
The Giants Den, Team Valley
Botanic Gardens
Beach (in the summer of course, unless we want airborne children!)

Okay so ideas for January daytime, I think cake is definitely in order so I propose the one that's next to Ebony, the huge place, down some steps, uhh... Slug & Lettuce is it? CAKE!

January night time? Is this something we want to plan? I know we're always poor after Christmas!

Grin when I read that I thought "has Kara gone insane?!" Then I noticed the date....

juney- I might have a job for you. DH and I decided that we need some time for us- it'd only be for a couple of hours so that we could pop to a local restaurant. T still isn't reliable with his sleeping so we can't venture further afield. I wish the boy would sort his sleeping out, I'm exhausted. Sad

juneybean · 02/04/2012 21:08

I'll take anything Spiggy! My number is still the same so feel free to text me (or message on me FB!) Grin

Good to see people today and to meet little V :)

KaraStarbuckThrace · 03/04/2012 18:26

So I saw, SPB - I got you confused with another friend with the same first name!
My bad Thanks

Lovely seeing the tiny babies who were both so gorgeous and snuggly!

We will definitely fix a date for when SPB can make it! Hopefully the weather will be less shit so we cab allow the childs to run around a park rather than the pub oh no they weren't our children

VikingLady · 04/04/2012 10:42

It was good to meet up again and talk with adults! Hopefully next time KST you'll get a chance to cuddle said tiny snuggly baby and give my arms a rest

spiffysquiffyspiggy · 04/04/2012 11:46

Kara I think we did a very good job of pretending the children where nothing to do with us Grin I think we need somewhere outside next time- don't want to be barred from the Slug Shock

Was lovely to see the new babies although I didn't get to cuddle A I got to cuddle V under the pretext of getting her in the car seat. Grin

StealthPolarBear · 04/04/2012 12:13

Not a problem Kara, I'm rarely on it but made an exception when I saw your plans :)

Indith · 04/04/2012 12:16

You can borrow him next time spiggy :)

He seems to be feeling sorry for himself today. Horrible night :(. Think he jsut has a touch of the cold dd started passing round poor boy.

HV was supposed to be coming this morning Hmm. I have things to do out of the house!

SPB while you are here, what dates are you off work so we can sort out the next cake gathering?

StealthPolarBear · 04/04/2012 12:28

Poor a :(
Will heck and get back about dates :)

MrsArchieTheInventor · 05/04/2012 13:34

This is just as an offchance, I'm finishing my current work placement at 2.30 today (Thursday 5th April) and intend on going to the Fighting Cocks in Durham for an hour if anyone in the local area would like to meet up? I'll be the one in the red and white flowery top and black cardigan reading the Guardian and nursing a pint of lager - please come and say hello!Smile I have short mousy brown hair and glasses. Smile Grin

Indith · 05/04/2012 13:44

Sorry MrsArchie, not me. Maybe Leggy or someone might see this though and be around :). Hope to see you at the next cake meet, probably before the end of this month so keep an eye on the thread!

MrsArchieTheInventor · 05/04/2012 13:49

I really wanted to go to the meet up at the Slug and Lettuce a couple of days ago but couldn't get there because of work, dammit! Sorry! Smile

I'll be at the Fighting Cocks in an hour or so. I have fond memories of my honeymoon there so no sweats if no one comes. I should change my name to Billy no mates! Smile

Indith · 05/04/2012 13:58

The fighting cocks used to be the bane of my life Grin. We lived above the hairdresser's and the emptying of the bottles to the bins woke me up more times than I vcare to remember. Ds was born in that flat

MrsArchieTheInventor · 05/04/2012 14:00

Indith - please pop down and say hellooo! Smile

spiffysquiffyspiggy · 05/04/2012 14:09

sorry, am in work in Newcastle. I'd much rather be in a pub though Grin

We did wonder if you came to the slug, saw our children running wild and ran away Grin Glad to see we've still got the opportunity to make a good impression fat chance We'll be meeting up again soon- when are you free?

MrsArchieTheInventor · 05/04/2012 14:16

Spiffy - I'm not sure. My new job gives one full day and one half day off a week but at the minute I'm not sure when they are - if the next meet up is on my day off I'll be there guaranteed! Smile

MrsArchieTheInventor · 05/04/2012 14:26

Correction - t'will be 3.30! As dictated by my grim boss who couldn't organise a bun fight in a bakery! Grr!

Short notice but does anyone fancy a meet up in Chester-le-Street tomorrow? I don't know anyone from MN but I'm game for a natter if you are... Smile

Indith · 05/04/2012 14:37

We don't live so close anymore MrsArchie I'm afraid! I'm out in the countryside these days. I was in Durham this morning, shame I didn't come do my passport appications this afternoon.

Tomorrow I have no car as dh is going to get the big ones from his mum's.

We'll pin out down soon enough and you'll never be shot of us Grin

KaraStarbuckThrace · 05/04/2012 20:34

Do keep checking the thread, MrsArchie. I think because of SPB's availability the next meet up will be on a Tuesday.
I live in Stockton, Chester is a bit far for me!

Indith · 13/04/2012 19:10

Boo!

spiffysquiffyspiggy · 15/04/2012 13:19

Grin We've been visiting grandma. Why do the children play happily in the garden there for hours but last 5 mins at home before coming back in to bother me?

SPB- when are you free- we need to plan cake!

Indith · 15/04/2012 17:07

Novelty factor?

spiffysquiffyspiggy · 15/04/2012 20:04

being bloody awkward is what it is Grin Have just ordered a fantastic playhouse for the garden (bit smaller than the ones at botanics but with a little loft bit) so am hoping that will keep them amused. If not I plan to move into the playhouse so I can have some peace and quiet while they stay in the house. I've been saving for it for ages so I'm determined to get my money's worth one way or t'other Grin.

StealthPolarBear · 15/04/2012 20:18

Hi everyone! If anyone's free for cake I am available on 15, 16, 17 may. On 17 I will be alone, other two days I will be accompanied by the tiny cake demander :)
