South East Londoner's Christmas Curry Meet-up

All welcome - the usual suspects plus any newbies lurking in the wings! I thought a nice ruby out with the girls to mull over the Christmas shopping we'll all be doing by then would be a great idea.

So, how does Wednesday 14 or Monday 19 December sound? Can't do weekends in December what the social life of my 6 year old DD plus other Christmas festivities already planned.

Is there a nice curry house in Blackheath or Greenwich which would be pretty central?

So post if you want to come and give us a recommendation for a venue.

No sweetheart-I posted on the previous thread as dh's van broke down last week and £600-00 later it works!! Am tres broke-had to cancel my work do too!

He he - I just took a peek at the north/northeast/east london mums meet up - they're taking a chapter from our book and planning a curry meet up. I was thinking tomorrow or Thursday I might sneak into Bexleyheath to check out possible places to eat unless anyone has any specific ideas...

Alrighty - so the list is still the same with jenweber630, piximon, Hoges, and Micku5 for sure going. Tigermoth and prettyfull are out now - I still have yet to hear from Coldtea, Norash, Blossom2, Choudrus, and Marina...

Ok - I've made a reservation under Jennifer at Aligor Tandoori & Balti Indian Restaurant on 270 Broadway in Bexleyheath for 7pm. So far, the following have confirmed:

I've still not heard from Norash, Coldtea, Blossom2 and Marina. So, just in case, I've made a reservation for 7. I can always make a small change if needed. Looking forward to it!!

Just to keep everyone updated - coldtea is likely not coming but may at the last minute... Prettyful - Hoges mentioned to me today that there's a slight chance of a yes... There will be an extra chair if you end up being able to make it. Next year, we should designate someone's house to be the daddy/child creche so for the few children that have no one to watch them there's someone who can do it... I'm going to be out of town over the weekend - hopefully there will be answers from the last few who haven't confirmed. Respond here or CAT me and if any changes to the reservation need to be made I'll take care of them Monday afternoon.

I'm so sorry but I can't make it.
I was so looking forward to finally meeting some other mums but my husband went to work today and was told his contract had been expired.

We really didn't see it coming and now I don't know how we're going to pay off all the xmas bills let alone electricity for the next month.

To make things even better both my children have come down with colds as has one of the cats.

I really am sorry to let you all down at the last minute.

Hi ladies - I'm sorry about all of the last minute woes! And piximon - I hope that dh finds something else very soon!! There's nothing more stressful than a lost job - especially at Christmas time. What was his company thinking?????

Anyway, it's down to me, Hoges, Micku5 and Choudrus - I'm going to call and re-make the reservation for 5 just in case someone else feels like tagging along at the last minute. We'll plan to hopefully see you all at the January meet-up (wherever and whenever that may be...)

Well, I just got an e-mail from choudrus and her dh isn't able to get home in time. So, Micku5 and Hoges - it's just the three of us. I'll e-mail you my number Micku so in case you can't make it, you can get in touch.

Nice to see you Micku5 (annabelle) and Hoges (Liz) - Mitchell had been sobbing away for quite awhile by the time I got home so maybe it will have to be a bit earlier next time... Anyway - it was lovely seeing you both and maybe we'll have to try this again and have a late-winter evening gathering.

Thanks to Jen and Micku5 for a great night. I really enjoyed it. Jazmine was in bed fast asleep when I got home and didn't wake up for her milk feed until 5.30 this morning. WOW!

Morning..... had a really great time last night. DH was late picking me up so i froze a bit. Jadyn was still awake when I got home.. she was waiting for her goodnight kiss and cuddle.

Wow - I'm jealous of both of you!! Though, Mitchell did end up sleeping through until 3am before he wanted to nurse - that was quite nice...
