Do you think we can start up a new 'Liverpool Mums' thread? - if I remember right, the last one fizzled out! Hope to have a good laugh/moan soon!

Hello everyone, great to see the Liverpool board started again.
I live in Childwall, have DD2 and DS 6.

Look forward to seeing you on the weekend Nemo......hmmm i never noticed any computers to get online in the Womens either........ maybe they are hidden.

Nemo666 · 06/10/2005 16:56

spookylips · 06/10/2005 19:02

spookylips · 06/10/2005 19:02

BROWNY · 06/10/2005 19:38

Hi SOAN, I think I remember you from the old Liverpool thread - can't remember what your old name was though!!

Joec - I'll try and catch you later on

Nemo: sounds like the Calpol will be doing the rounds in your house tonight!! Honestly, MEN they get a snotty nose and expect us poor (and sometimes pregnant) women to run around after then like their mothers"!!

jessysmummy · 06/10/2005 22:08

Just seen some photos pf fastasleep's sophia on the oct ante natal thread - she's gorgeous. Well done FA!
Nemo - has Adam had chickenpox? I know it's doing the rounds and your description of "doesnt have any signs of being ill but has been narky and whingy all day" sounds exactly how my nephew behaved the week before his spots appeared. Hope household recover soon and that you escape lurgy. Thanks for the finger crossing!

Nemo666 · 06/10/2005 22:24

JM they think adam had chicken pox when we were away in june but he had rash that went after 3 days so not sure.

spookylips · 06/10/2005 22:48

aww fastasleep she is gorgeous!!

WELL DONE!

spookylips · 06/10/2005 22:57

Browny - my DP is exactly like that as men are wimps when it comes to "not well" in a whinging voice!!

BROWNY · 07/10/2005 10:55

Jessysmummy, GOOD LUCK for today!! Will be thinking of you, hope it all happens quickly and with lots and lots of pain relief!!!.

Please let us know how you are when you get some time.

Spookylips, I think all men are the same - my dh is always saying he's tired, even though I'm still on the go at midnight!!!!

BROWNY · 07/10/2005 10:59

I can't find the photo of Fastasleep's baby girl - can someone tell me what thread it's on please?? I'm going round and round in circles looking for it!!

browny pictures are in ante natal club..october o5 thread

jessysmummy · 07/10/2005 22:34

Just to let you know that I'm still "with bump". Midwife was quite happy to leave me for more monitoring next week as everything is ok with baby. I, on the other hand have had enough and requested an induction. Am not very happy about this but I'm hoping that even the threat of an untimely arrival will shock this baby into making its own way out. It's got until sunday evening when I have to go back to the Women's, departing only when I have a baby in my arms!!
Browny - After being up at 6am, I have been prodded and poked to within an inch of my life today, ran around after a toddler, been for an hour long walk to try and get things going, fed, bathed and put DD to bed...oh and did I mention that I'm 42 weeks pg?...and where's DH?...fast asleep in the arm chair!!!!! Men...bless 'em...not much staying power, have they?
Did you find FA's photos of gorgeous Sophia?

Nemo666 · 07/10/2005 22:39

aww JM I went through this exactly 2 yrs ago..lol Went in for induction on 9th oct and ds born 10th. He was due 25th sept...stubborn mule didnt want to move.Hope something happens for you. Did you have to be induced last time?

jessysmummy · 07/10/2005 23:06

How bizarre, Nemo that I'm going through the same thing EXACTLY 2 years later! DD didn't need to be induced - she arrived after the midwife gave her a bit of a nudge at my first post date appt.
Hoping you don't have a repeat performance this time around. The waiting is just horrendous.
Anyway, night night. Ever hopeful that baby will pop out when I'm asleep!

Nemo666 · 08/10/2005 09:33

Mmm do you know what you are having????? Wonder if its another boy..lol If you get put in the first delivery suite on the right thik it was no.10 or 11 then that will be realllllly scarey...good luck and hope baby shifts before tommorow...although must say induction was not as bad as I thought it would be. Am actually asking to be induced on due date this time.

BROWNY · 08/10/2005 11:39

Jessysmummy - I can't believe your still 'with bump' - I feel so sorry for you - you must be shattered!!! I'd kick your dh off the sofa if I were you (oops....you probably can't lift your legs up high enough to kick him now though), or give him a huge push!!! A cold flannel usually does the trick too!!!.

I hope you're not too sore after all the poking and prodding - I remember feeling really sick after they did that to me! You spend all your time making sure bump is not knocked accidentily and then this midwife comes along and pushes, pokes and prodes the poor little mite!!.

Have you got an exercise ball to bounce on - don't laugh!! I was induced with three of mine, so when I was pregnant with ds2 I got one and sat on it and bounced every evening - IT WORKED!! I was almost 10 days overdue, when my waters broke - GOOD LUCK!! I'll be thinking of you!!

Nemo: hope you feel happier today, maybe catch you later on msn.

Joec- enjoy the party tonight, have a bacardi and coke for me!!!!

OP posts:
spookylips · 08/10/2005 14:35

i was induced with mine too as she was 12 days late and i was getting fed up of the "waiting time" for baba to arrive. (hopefully) when i have the next one that i wont have a induction as the contractions were sooooo unbearable (i nearly broke my DPs hand!!)

BROWNY · 08/10/2005 14:43

Same here, Spookylips!!! My dh complained for weeks after ds2's birth, he said he thought I was going to criple him! p.s. see you're planning another already then??
