Hi Joec and Edodgy,

I don't know where this weekend went - we took the kids to Walton Hall Gardens in Warrington for a few hourse - I got chased by an evil looking quail thing with a very sharp beak - not very nice!!.

Dh was out on Saturday night, he knocked me awake at 4am because he couldn't find his keys!! - he's making the tea tonight for his sins!!.

Hope you are all O.k. Will catch you tomorrow hopefully.

hi browny.

sounds like you had fun at the weekend !!!!!!

BROWNY · 27/09/2005 14:56

Hiya Joec,

How was your weekend? I've got to go "Meet the Teacher(s)" after school today, I'll have to hang around with all the children straight from school, as my first appointment is at 4pm, then 4.20 pm and the last one at 5pm. Then I'll have to rush home, make the tea and dash off to take the girls to "brownies" at 6.45 pm!!

I don't drive so it's a fifteen min. walk there and fifteen back again - then do the whole thing again at 8pm to pick them up!

Well, I've got to change ds before we go to school, hope your afternoon and evening isn't so hectic!

OP posts:
joec · 28/09/2005 11:24

hi browny..

know what you mean about walking to school.
dd2 starts nursery on monday ( hooray )
but means will put them in school in mornings. go back at 12.30 to put dd2 in nursery. pick her up at 3 and hang around for half hour until older 2 come out at 3.30.. but if one of them has got after school club means going home at 3.30 and then back again at 4.45..!!!!!!!

BROWNY · 28/09/2005 15:56

Joec, brilliant jokes you sent me - thanks - I've forwarded them onto my brother to cheer him up!.

I can remember when my ds1 started nursery and I was wearing the pavement out from our house to the school! At least you'll have a few hours to yourself in the afternoons - DO NOT SPEND THIS TIME IRONING!.

I've just come back from school, we are soaked!! I'll just start to dry out and then I'll have to walk them all back to school again to pick dd2 up from Drama club!

Can't seem to catch you on MSN, hope to soon[smile.

EDODGY, how are you feeling? I hope you're managing to get some rest after looking after everyone else in your house!!. Is baba O.K.?

BROWNY · 29/09/2005 10:31

Hi Shades1, I live in Allerton and have four children, aged between 9 and 1, two girls and two boys!

Welcome to this really addictive site, say goodbye to your tidy house!!. Hope to chat to you soon.

Nemo: I can never find anyting in this little house: I've been looking for some microphones for the playstation for months, yesterday when the sky man came he moved dd1 bed and I couldn't believe the junk behind it , but we did find the microphones!! I've CAT you my msn address for you.

Joec - I bet it rains again at 3.15 pm!! I did a tonne of ironing yesterday, but you wouldn't think I'd even switched the damm thing on today - I did two more loads of washing last night - it's never ending isn't it?

OP posts:
Nemo1977 · 29/09/2005 10:35

morning all
hope the rain holds of for the school runs this afternoon.

think I am playing at domestic godess today..pmsl The house is now spotless[apart from baby room where all clothes are piled in anticipation of being washed..lol] I am awaiting my shopping order from asda and then will cook a cottage pie for tea and some brownies..Adam is being lovely and playing rather nicely with his toys and making limited mess which is always a bonus. Due to this I managed to duts, mop, hoover, wipe, scrub all kitchen sides and cupboards and am now eyeing up the windows..lol This is the only bonus to me being pregnant as I was the same with Adam and the house was always super clean so its been 2 yrs since its been this tidy in one day..lol

joec · 29/09/2005 10:39

hi girls.....

hope rain stays off too. coat is still wet from yesterday
nemo .. ur makin me feel very guilty .. ur cleaning while i am on here .. really should be cleaning up myself !!!!!

BROWNY · 29/09/2005 10:40

Morning Nemo,

You've made me feel like a lazy cow - I'm still in my dressing gown, I've only managed to wash a few dishes, feed and change ds (who is back in bed now for his nap)!

If you find yourself with nothing left to clean, please come to my house - there's plenty to do here! P.s. any secret ingredients for your cottage pie, mine has never tasted as good as when my mum used to make it?

Please slow down with the cleaning, you're making me look very bad!

Bless little Adam for being so good for his crazed, cleaning fanatic of a mum!

OP posts:
BROWNY · 29/09/2005 10:43

Morning, Joec!! Well, I've tried to tell Nemo to slow down but she's taking no notice!! I can't remember being that houseproud when I was pregnant!.

What've you got planned for today? Anyting nice?

OP posts:
Nemo1977 · 29/09/2005 10:43

lol believe me ladies this house has been such a mess for the past 3mths due to redecorating and loft clearing etc it was in dire need of a good clean. I am just chatting while I wait for my shopping then I can make the tea and try the brownie recipe I was sent..yum will be worth it..lol

BROWNY · 29/09/2005 10:46

PMSL at you Nemo - making the tea!! It's only 10.45 A.M.!!

So, you're not going to give any of your secrets away re. the cottage pie then?

OP posts:
Nemo1977 · 29/09/2005 10:55

???? secrets..lol

Cottage pie takes me a couple of hours to make as have to leave the mince to cook for a while and then to set. according to father in law who was a chef.

BROWNY · 29/09/2005 10:56
