It is time to gather the troops :) All are welcome, newbies, lurkers, usual Durham thread rabble and anybody else out there.

First up a vote on the date:

4th December

Kara
Indith
Juney
Frozen

11th December

Leggy
Indith
Juney
Frozen

Small babies welcome. We all know how much you can long for a meal out yet be unable to bring yourself to leave the baby so as long as you are happy to bring them, we are happy to have them.

Please suggest places to go for a nice drink or 2 (cocktails anyone?) and a meal. The date which most people can make will be booked.

Been for a private scan today, Scan went well, saw baby bouncing lots, heard heartbeat. Baby EDD is 8th June :)

StealthPomBear · 13/11/2010 17:41

erm....what baby would that be??? did I miss a post? Assuming you're not talking about your SIL's friend's daughter:
Congratulations
that's wonderful!!!!!!!

FrozenNorthPole · 13/11/2010 19:41

Congratulations Kara - will be keeping my fingers and toes crossed for a happy and uneventful pregnancy for you! Grin

Chocaholica · 13/11/2010 20:47

Wow I missed this too! Many congratulations, Kara, lovely news.

KaraStarbuckThrace · 14/11/2010 08:18

Yes sorry guys, I am, as they say it, "with child", I think I may have eluded to it....

Haven't booked in with the MW yet but have appt next week - will tell you all about when we next meet up!

StealthPomBear · 14/11/2010 08:28

Glad to see I wasn't the only one who missed this :o

juneybean · 14/11/2010 14:32

juneybean · 14/11/2010 14:32

Indith · 14/11/2010 16:32

Said it on FB too but to repeat myself, congratulations!

I spent most of today with hot water bottle on tummy so yes please, I'll be next! Quite fancy another 18 months or so without periods.

took me ages to figure out the link there Confused
Sorry you are suffering :(

Curiousmama · 15/11/2010 00:26

Congrats from me too Kara Smile

KaraStarbuckThrace · 15/11/2010 09:37

Ohh poor your Indith. Yep the best bit definitely is no periods...

juneybean · 15/11/2010 10:42

What I want to know is how does it affect your skin? I'm sick of having spots from ovulation upto period!

LeggyBlondeNE · 15/11/2010 11:52

Ooo congrats from this end too!

Good point Indith, I'll probably have a shock and a half when periods restart!

I'm really starting to miss my pregnancy-hair which only needed washing once a week and never needed brushing, but not enough to provide T with a sibling quite so soon! Besides the memories of labour are still only part faded...!

spiggy · 15/11/2010 16:30

Congratulations Kara- lovely news.

Indith- I'll lend you Baby (probably the only name it'll get) in May- that should put you off. As for it falling out when I do the dishes- that'll never happen. Dishes are DP's job Grin I have however warned the mw that she is likely to get called out on false alarms as I'll be a tad paranoid every time I get a twitch.

KaraStarbuckThrace · 17/11/2010 14:03

Thanks everyone! Booked in with MW now :)

More babies, M and I have another friend who has also just had a baby girl. Both babies have "flower names" so was joking to M that maybe I should do the same, I was thinking Petunia or Hyacinth Grin Sadly both girls have the prettiest flower names, and my SIL has another pretty flower name!!

D knows all about the baby in my belly!

Will be seeing M and her new baby on the 29th, so will confirm her coming out with us then, if that is okay?

She is still bfing despite some sh!t advice from the hospital...

Curiousmama · 18/11/2010 09:46

Looks like I won't make it after all Sad Dp has to work as someone's away Hmm he works nightshift. If I can get a babysitter then I still can but may be best to cross me off the list for now?

I can't even go out this sat for friend's 40th Sad

Indith · 18/11/2010 11:38

KaraStarbuckThrace · 21/11/2010 09:36

Less than 2 weeks to go!!!!

I got that tunic, but it is more like a dress on me!!! Got some tights and some matching shoes.
So will all be in red, very festive Grin

Indith · 21/11/2010 16:31

Is it the 4th yet? I need to get out! Just somewhere that isn't within spitting distance of the back door would be good.
