It is time to gather the troops :) All are welcome, newbies, lurkers, usual Durham thread rabble and anybody else out there.

First up a vote on the date:

Small babies welcome. We all know how much you can long for a meal out yet be unable to bring yourself to leave the baby so as long as you are happy to bring them, we are happy to have them.

Please suggest places to go for a nice drink or 2 (cocktails anyone?) and a meal. The date which most people can make will be booked.

Yes but her bedtime was earlier than yours so I fed her to sleep before going out and on the rare occasions (ie just the MN meals out) that I went out for the evening I tended to come home to find her awake with dh because she woke up and wouldn't go back to sleep without a feed.

Hello Inigo :)

I did spot MermaidSpam on another thread, but she hasn't found her way over here yet.

Still waiting to hear from my friend to check she is okay with the changed arrangements.

Curiousmama · 30/10/2010 09:11

bump

DeadBodyofKaraStarbuckThrace · 30/10/2010 16:29

My friend is still happy with the arrangements. Though that could change once baby is bord Grin

stickylittlefingers · 30/10/2010 21:28

Hi everyone and cheers indith for the message. Have to do some diary comparing but really hope I can come and catch up, seems like such a long time. Yummy curry! Oh yeah, and you lot too [hgrin]

Mermaidspam · 31/10/2010 00:49

Hi!

Sorry, I've had a distinct lack of internet!

I can't make the 4th, I'm afraid. We have friends up for a pre-Xmas Xmas!

Indith · 31/10/2010 08:50

That's a shame Mermaid. How did the party go?

Sticky just let us know, hope you can make it :)

DeadBodyofKaraStarbuckThrace · 31/10/2010 09:13

You found us! Hope the party went okay :)

Mermaidspam · 31/10/2010 22:41

The Party was excellent thanks!
Loads of people, food, drink and party games - Grin Just the way I like it.

You should all come next year if poss.

KaraStarbuckThrace · 01/11/2010 12:10

I shall do my best :)

Got to find something to wear for our night out, can't wait!!

Indith · 01/11/2010 14:46

You mean I can't just wear my tracksuit bottoms and slippers?

OP posts:
KaraStarbuckThrace · 01/11/2010 15:06

Only if you have a wear it with a hoodie.

Indith · 01/11/2010 15:10

I still have some university stash knocking around. I could wear the tracksuit bottoms, slippers, hoodie and pashmina. That is considered rather dressed up by many of the temporary residents in this city.

OP posts:
KaraStarbuckThrace · 01/11/2010 15:42

Probably somewhat overdressed Grin

Curiousmama · 02/11/2010 16:18

Think I'll wear a nice stretchy dress so I can eat a lot (what's new?)

KaraStarbuckThrace · 02/11/2010 17:36

Ditto, Curiousmama!

Indith · 03/11/2010 14:58

Wonder if my wrap dress will be warm enough if I layer it....the lack of waistband is appealing! Def can't wear jeans going to the Capital Grin

Well I mentioned a night out to DH and whether he thought A would be OK without me and he said "Of course you idiot" - so that means I CAN COME :o :o :o and if he thinks A will be OK I feel a lot more reassured too.
Going to ring up and see if they have room for a little one (well me, anyway) slf, do you know if you can make it?

Indith · 03/11/2010 15:07

Yay!

Why don't you wait a bit to ammend booking. Prob easier to do it a little closer to the time when we know if anyone has dropped out etc rather than ringing them several times. I doubt a coupleof people either way will be too much trouble so long as it is confirmed a day or so before.

OP posts:
StealthPolarBear · 03/11/2010 15:32

good idea!

KaraStarbuckThrace · 03/11/2010 17:50

Oh yey!!! Glad you can make it SPB!!

Definitely agree, you never know if anyone else might drop out. My friend may depending on what happens, I think she may be induced in 2 weeks time, but if she ends with a CS (no reason to think she would) she probably wouldn't be up for it as she would be pretty uncomfortable with the stitches. But we are still optimistic she'll be coming!!

StealthPolarBear · 03/11/2010 20:06

Hi Kara :) How are things? Seems like ages since I've seen anyone, this nasty work stuff gets in the way of cake :(

Mytholmroyd · 03/11/2010 22:45

Hi everyone - wont be working in Durham until January and cant make 4th Dec but would have liked to come. Enjoy!

SparklePffftBANG · 04/11/2010 06:10
