Hope you are home by now! think the traffic was awful. Hope it went well

We didn't eat cake - we did have a very nice lunch which was very full - it was just me and Indith.

Will arrange another one for the New Year.

I'm so sorry I wasn't there - I got stuck in possibly the world's biggest queue in the post-office, then had a loud and embarrassing argument about Christmas dinner with DH in Marks and Spencer and then realised that it was past one o'clock ... please forgive me Kara and Indith, I hate it when people promise to come to things and don't and I know my excuse is particularly pathetic!

Yeah I did my last day yesterday and drove home at midnight! Just wanted to get home for my holiday........... and now its started snowing up here ffs, can't win!

I don't care what happens tomorrow I intend to go on holiday!

Supposed to be going to Center Parcs Nottingham...they have no snow that I'm aware of :( just typical isn't it!

It's my dear friend in Bedfordshire not able to get to notts. I've no problem driving in our little snow, but you know what these southerners are like

She hadn't even tried, she's now decided to try and get some petrol and see how that goes... I will keep my fingers crossed! Otherwise I will be there for wonky fairy cakes

I'm feeling so lazy today and dp is putting me to shame, he's cleaning like a demon. Although to be fair for he next few days he'll be either on nights or sleeping so I'm trying not to feel too guilty

We went to wakefield yesterday to see dsd and the roads were good apart from a little bit teesside way which was a bit scary when the right hand lane disappeared under snow and the middle lane was busy. Dp coped very well though.

Still here and I've cracked open an alcopop :(

It was a pre-xmas break Mon - Wed, but to make it longer we had booked sunday night at the local hotel!

Wasn't impressed with the hotel "you know you won't get any money back" yes I was aware of that actually!!!!!!

So sorry about that. Is she totally snowed in?

The roads in her town are just completely ice and she has a silly little car
