Has anyone completed the CFG degree? Considering putting in an application for the next cohort and having a bit of a wobble about the time commitment 😵‍💫

Ah crap. I haven't heard about NatWest London. So guess I haven't got an interview!

For those that got interviews, do you have a background in IT or anything like that?

I don't, but I have a reasonably lengthy career in a different sector and hopefully a decent number of transferrable skills which I emphasised. In any case you may yet hear, we don't know if all interview offers are released at once or not .. and there are also some CfG sponsored places I think.

That said I was also rejected without interview last time and beefed up my application this time with more code/took some more short courses, all of which strengthened it to be more code and tech focused. But definitely not in that sector already.

Thank you. I feel like I would have heard by now if I got an interview. Feeling quite deflated.

I feel like I have great experience in coding as I teach python and already have a great understanding of all the coding concepts as I have taught them( computer science teacher). So I'm a stumped as to why I haven't got an interview again. Second time applying and assuming no interview again. I have done two courses with cfg to try and help with my application. Feel like I don't know what I can do to get a place.

I don't have a github so maybe that something. Not sure how to use it to add coding projects. So will work on that for next time.

Hi @JustAnotherUsey - I also haven’t heard anything yet and also feel very fed up. It’s also my second time and I just don’t know what they are looking for considering they say that the video interview doesn’t have to be perfect. Trying so hard to break into this industry, but just doesn’t seem to be working for me. I wish there was some personal feedback because I would love to know how I could improve. Feel so gutted to be honest.

Still waiting here too. I wonder if it's because my GitHub page is woeful. Thought do some more coding projects on there to shout about for the next cohort.
Also, the timing of this degree will impact Christmas massively with the end date being 21/12!

Today got an email saying I'm a potential second round offer candidate.

W/c 31 July and w/c 7 Aug. Think this is the same for all companies too and is what was originally planned. It means it's all fairly short notice if you do get a place... But I'm ok with it either way.
